Think I got hacked l
I woke up this morning and decided to check my shop. However, when I got on I found that maple had closed overnight. Not DCed, closed. I logged back on and for some reason my PIC was different. I checked my email and no email had been sent to reset it, so thinking nexon had screwed with our PICs again, I reset it. Here's the weird part; when I got back on, all my empress equips in my inventory were gone and 600m of my 603m was gone. Weirdly, nothing was gone from any of my other characters, and nothing was taken but my empress stuff and my mesos. Thoughts on if/how I got hacked? I have never told anyone my info, had a decent(not 123456) PIC. My IGn is BreakerUa

Something similar happened to me also a little more than one year ago.
The hacker is leaving you with some stuff to spare, so that once you rebuild your account, there will be good stuff to take once they hack you again.
My advice is:
- Change your email password
- Change your MapleStory password
- Change your MapleStory PIC
- Run a full virus scan with Malwarebytes for anything suspicious

Haven't hacked since the oldoldoldold PYPQ hack. I'm completely legit now and that was on a completely different account that I don't even remember :O Anyone know where I should go from here?

I had many 4% equips on my DS and about 20m. Also a level 40 7%str top and a 4%bottom. Doesn't appear any of my chars were even TOUCHED.

And to above, I'm pretty sure I got hacked, I'm just curious as the circumstances are quite odd.

Realistically speaking, if they hacked your email they could have just deleted the email so it wouldn't tip you off as fast, giving them more time to get what they want before you notice and reset it. But also realistically speaking, just changing your pic makes that hacker either 1. Really generous, or 2. Incompetent because if he was in your email he could have changed everything and walked away with your entire account and you wouldn't be able to do anything.
