Bowman

Sort of want to change to a Bowmaster

Alright well I literally (Lv 101) just became a Marksman and I already want to switch to a Bow Master... I just am not liking the skills to much as a Marksman. Especially how Snipe and Piercing Arrow look basically the same. I need variety, I like the skills I saw on a Bow Master with Hurricane coming back as a 4th job skill and Arrow platter going to 3rd job. I'm just weary about how expensive it is to fund a Bow Master compared to a Marksman, how much should I be spending on a Bow? or should I just buy anything I can get until 140 when I can use an Empress bow.

@1arm: Funding is hard, training isn't that bad now with uncountable arrows

@1arm:

I'd say save the majority of it and maybe go for as cheap of a temporary bow as possible until you switch out to the empress one. I'm sure there are dirt cheap lv 100 bows on the market that have been decently scrolled in the past for a few hundred mil max. You can honestly even 100% scroll some lv 100 bow with +2 att scrolls using those scroll trace things.

On a marksman its basically snipe and pierce. Your third job skills for the most part are useless. Bowmasters have more variety. You can set up turret and spam attack with either a second turret (best dps but no mobility), hurricane (decent dps and slight mobility), and arrow stream (not so much dps BUT deals chunks of damage like mm skills and you can also move around freely as needed while resetting turret). Basically, you setup your turret then have 3 skills to choose from when attacking.

You can also lock different types of bows with the quiver system (if you preffer the dot bow, lock the poison one/ if you like the drain bow lock that one/ if you want extra hits for even more dps lock the extra hit one). The dot one is best for bossing although the drain one can also be useful with survival. The extra hit one is nice if you're into the dps style of damage.
Bows in Broa cost as much as all of those other expensive weapons (like knucks, claws, canes, daggers, ect). Xbows and Dual cross bows are pretty cheapish though.

Anyways as far as the switch goes, bowmasters have more versatility than marksmen in that you have multiple different skills to play around with that can be useful. Turret is a must but once set up, you can play around with different attacks based on the boss. Spamming double turret is ideally the best dps although you don't have to rely on it especially on mobile bosses. Hurricane is also a fast paced strong skill that can be coupled with the set up turret. I personally find arrow stream and the set up turret more useful at certain bosses as arrow stream takes out chunks of hp per hit (sort of like snipe) and you can keep mobile when using it once turret is set up. Spamming double turret is lethal at certain bosses where you need to keep on your feet and hurricane is hard to time with dr (lag issues) and the slowed movement speed is also rather hindering.

Bowmasters also have that speed flair (fast paced attacks). You will probably be inflicting less damage on a bowmaster than on a marksman up until a certain level of funding but the tradeoff is more versatile game play.
Well when all my stuff is done selling Ill have around 2+ bil in mesos, how much of that should i be spending on a bow? & What kind of bow should I be using until 140 when I use the Empress bow. I just really dont like how the only skill I seem to be using on my Marksman is Snipe? or some other Skill that looks like it I dont even remember the name but its the only one I use. The only skill that looks different is the Dragons Breath skill but everything else is the same.

And no weapon that bowmen use costs much compared to many other weapons in the game.
Just try to have fun. I'd rather be doing less damage but actually enjoy myself while playing than spam something that I feel isn't worth while. Expenses shouldn't be too much of a problem, even if you can get something minimal. I think Empress should do just fine.
