LoZ Twilight Princess

I was wondering if LoZ Twilight Princess is any good. If It is should I get it for GC or Wii?

@SilverFoxR: Yeeeahhh Awakening was really good. I just wish it were longer, but guess it was decently long at the time.
I've played both versions (only ever owned DX irl) gotta say I prefer DX by far.

7TH DUNGEON CAN BURN THOUGH

I still play Twilight Princess on the Gamecube. The day the game breaks or my Gamecube is the day I die.

Good Game, very somber and melancholy in atmosphere.
Have both version and I personally prefer the GameCube version.

OOH! Another fan of Link's Awakening! Seems like not a lot of people had played that one. Me, I have the non-DX version (though I tried out the updated one).

Here's something to give all of you Link's Awakening fans "teh feelz"...

Twilight Princess has a very engaging and darker atmosphere, as wel as more peculiar characters.
The dungeons imo are some of the best in the series, and the bosses are quite fun. Even the water temple didn't suck in TP. Granted it didn't really in OoT either, but w/e. (I feel Majora's has the worst water temple)

All in all 10/10 game would play again Midna waifu.

Really, when has Nintendo made a bad Zelda game? Even though Skyward Sword is considered one of the weakest titles in the franchise, it's still a very good game. Really, you can't go wrong with a LoZ title (unless you own a Phillips CDI... but Nintendo didn't make those, so they don't count).

A lot of people like Twillight Princess' darker tone and more realistic art style. Midna being your tag-along character was also a nice change of pace, as she was abrasive to Link, but was never really annoying compared to other partners (IE: Navi). Also, Link's moveset was given depth with the ability to learn new sword skills (my favourite being Mortal Draw).

The thing to remember when getting Twilight Princess is that the GCN and Wii versions are... different... sort of. Link is commonly left-handed (like Miyamoto, in fact), so most games (including the GCN title) have you play Link as a leftie. However, since the Wii version uses the Wiimote to slash and 90% of the world's population is right-handed, they felt it made sense to make things more of a 1:1 experience and made Link right-handed in the most peculiar way - they inverted the entire __world__. So, if you were supposed to go down a path to the left in the GCN version, the path would be on the right on the Wii version. Kind of confusing, but if you only play one version, it's not really that bad.

Personally, I would recommend the Wii version, mostly because of the Wiimote controls... but also some of the Wii technology implemented into the game. Nintendo is very clever with incorporating as many elements as possible into some games. For example, The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass for the DS used every piece of the DS' hardware, from the mic to even closing the lid to enter sleep mode as a way to solve puzzles. Twilight Princess uses the Wiimote in a few clever ways... and I will tell you right now... the first time Midna decided she wants to talk to you about something, you are going to jump... it's creepy, but awesome. Definitely play with the Wiimote speaker on ^_~

My favorite LoZ title so far. I loved everything about it, especially the storyline.

Differences between the two have been stated above already, but on the Wii version you also have one more quickslot to equip a tool onto

It's one of my favorite Zelda games, granted I haven't played it in like 4 years. If you like swinging around a Wiimote, go with the Wii version, if not, go with the GC version. Like the person above me said, they are the same game basically

Wrong section, but it's a solid Zelda title. You can't go wrong with either the GC or the Wii, because they're almost identical.
The main difference between the two is that you can use the Wii remote to do sword slashes and a few other actions on the Wii version, and the maps are flipped between the GC/Wii.
