They're both terrible.

The 30% boss one is well...30% boss. You expect at least 2 lines of either % att/boss/pdr at unique or leg so 30% doesn't cut it.

The 20% boss 7% total 8% crit is effectively 27% boss 2% crit, since you don't have any use for crit rate past 100%. This makes it almost as bad as the 30% boss line.

You should keep cubing.

If bossing is the main thing, or if you can get DSI/MPE, then the Faf 10% pdr and 30% boss (60% with the set effect) would probably be better than an ele staff. But I use an ele anyways
I'd say get the total damage plus the crit rate, unless you already have around 80~90%

27% damage + 8% crit vs 30% damage

Fafnir staves don't hit speed cap after the BaM rework. Estaves do, and they're fully tradable as well.

Mages need %M att, so I would go with the second one. You can also get %boss form inner ability.

You're a mage so the first pot is just good for 30% boss. The after is the better choice it's basically 27%boss 8%crit

If you don't already have a Phantom link skill, get that for some easy 5~10% crit chance. Then the before potential is better.

imo before, I assume BAMs aren't highly crit dependent though
