Anything is good if and only you're good at it.

Well if your one of those people who have trouble choosing things, but generally stick to a taste in math it wouldn't hurt to try being a mechanical engineering major for a short while, you could always switch to a different major within STEM.

I would agree with @burning completely. Though I will also add that this logic also holds true for practically all STEM majors.

The answer to your question also largely depends on where you live and how the job market in your area is.

Generally, a fresh ME graduate with a 3.0+ GPA and internship experience has a very good shot at landing a well-paying engineering job at a reputable company. However, such engineers are rare. Many undergrads who start the program won't complete their degree largely because of the difficulty of the courses. For you, be certain that you can commit the time, effort, and money or else this major will turn out bad.
