Someone broke into my house

They came and took two game systems, and I got back before they could take anything else. Scuttled off when I was calling for help.
Anyways I found one of the items on craigslist and told the cops but they kept saying they were too busy, and by the time I got an email from them they said they already sold it.
So is it time for street justice?
