My laptop's fan isn't working anymore how do I fix it, also I am suppose to used compress air is there a way I can clean the fan without removing anything?

Open up the case and check if the wires are plugged in or connected still. I remember on my old laptop the fans stopped working but the case was impossible to take off so I put cold, wet rags all over it.
