Check out my equips?

I'm trying to increase my dmg, but I'm relatively low funding. There's some stuff I know that needs to definitely be replaced, the rings are awful, so is my shoulder accessory. I can't afford end game stuff like tyrant boots and capes. I have like 20 mil rn lol... Also I'm going to get the ghost ship badge soon.

@gerbilsquid: No problem! The great thing about Maple is that a little work and a little looking around may not always get you what you want, but it certainly can get you what you need.

@silverfoxr: has a good point. pretty sure I linked this ages ago but here: [url=http://www.basilmarket.com/PC-New-Mapler-Guide-Wiki-234]click this link for a quick read.[/url]

I'll make note of what you can go for right now. At this point you should be doing okay!

One thing is to level other link skills such as Demon Avenger / Kanna to raise your damage output.

Most important ones are
Kanna / DA [both pretty high on the list but raise damage]
Xenon [10% all stat at 120]
Hayato [lv 70 gives you 10 att I believe]
Beast Tamer [Crit and other stuff]
Cannoneer [+stats and hp]
Demon Slayer [adds % boss damage, but you can hold off on this one til you do the others]
Lumi [PDR, same as the DS link]
Phantom [another important one because it gives you 10% crit at 70 and 15% at 120]
Jett [+stat but it also is randomized stats when you use stardust]

That is something you should do if you don't really have money to work with. Aside from that, training with a mule would allowing you to encounter lower level elites that you can kill and pray for decent drops such as CSS, Cubes, Protection scrolls etc.

One thing to do is to start to scroll a second RA set and attempt to 30% and slate until perfected[do so before you wear it, you're fine with your current set now]. Potential your 2ndary, and epic pot/cube it. You can get a Ghostship Exorcist Badge in Boat Quay town by completing the questline. However if you break it, you will not be able to get another, becareful [spent a little extra for a 100% potential scroll if you must].

Other than that replace your rings with either gollux rings[next step if you get these is to scroll them]/blackgate rings/sylph rings[from event]/ or some of those rings that give you crit when you level another character to 130-150 [depends if theres one of those events going around].

Before you cube anything, I always recommend using epic scrolls on them to make them epic first.

I order of importance, you should cube/scroll Weapon/Secondary/Emblem then everything else. Be sure to scroll your gollux items before you equip them incase you have friends giving you gollux scrolls or you're farming scrolls on a mule.

You should also be able to find someone who's willing to take you normal magnus for a nova cape until you get your Tyrant cape. Same goes with shoes.

Aside from that, the guide should go over how to make some slow money gradually from nothing.

Let's start with some simple stuff...

1) If you have a scroll that reveals potential, try using it on your secondary equip... small boost, but possibly helpful.

2) You should be able to do the Princess No questline right now (I think the minimum level is 140?)... so, go to Momijigaoka from the Dimensional Mirror (I think you also have a quest from an NPC over there that will warp you there either way), see if anyone has a quest for you and then travel through the portal on the far left. You should begin quests to meet Ayame, who will set you on special themed quests as modified versions of Hayato, Kanna and herself (a special unique class) to follow an NPC named Princess No. Completing all 3 character's paths (which are all pretty much the same), you will be given a shoulder, ring and belt representing the characters you played as. The combined set from these 3 items is pretty good and will definitely replace the shoulder and one of your rings right away. Equip those first, then see if the belt (and the combined effect) outdoes your current belt.

**WARNING: Kanna's teleport is glitched in this area and using it too much will cause the game to crash. Your best bet is not to use it at all... minor annoyance, but you can do most of the area easily enough.**

3) Blackgate City has a series of 5 bosses you can fight (3 in the first map, 2 in the map right of that). On occasion, they will drop special Blackgate equipment, including a ring, belt, face accessory, hat, pendant and others. Each of these, of course, has a combined set bonus. You'll likely want to look for the ring and pendant more than anything else... though you could try to find the face mask... though it is pretty creepy.

4) Get a new medal. The two I can think of right away that'd do well is the Gold Dragon/Red Tiger medal you gain from the Beasts of Fury questline (can be tricky to beat, just a heads-up) or the badge you get from completing the full Black Heaven storyline. I'll warn you that the BH story is long, but it is beatable (they often allow you to skip areas you're stuck on if you fail them numerous times).

5) Get a badge. I think you can get one from Singapore... haven't tried myself yet =p

Now that you've done all of that, you have 3 options:

1) NX Cash - buy cubes and improve your potentials.
2) Fight Magnus, get Tyrant equipment.
3) Fight Gollux, get Gollux equipment.

Otherwise, keep an eye on events, make other characters to improve character cards/link skills and earn mesos by hunting bosses. You should have little problem killing Zakum or Horntail at your level.
