Can Maplestory run on a Surface 3?

For my 18th birthday, I want a 2-in-1. I'd mostly use it for my job (I'm a hairdresser and I want something portable to track my client records and daily schedule via cloud), but I also want it for a leisure machine. My pick right now is the Surface 3, but my dad is worried that Maplestory won't run on just a plain 3, and that I'd need a Surface Pro. Of course, those are heavier (just by a little, but still), loosing the work function I'd need. They're also way more expensive. So I thought, "Maybe someone on Basil had a Surface 3 they use Maple on, I should make a thread." So please help me out here! Thanks!
@traitor: I'm aware of the RT device factor. I didn't know that the Surface 3 was only RT, though. Thanks for letting me know. My dad builds desktop computers, but the one I'm using now was built 5 yrs ago, so I have been thinking of working on a new one with him. My only issue with getting an iPad, though, is that I'm just not really an Apple person. Maybe I'll get a cheaper tablet and just help my dad build a new comp. Thanks for your input, I'm glad you've actually tested Maple on a Surface and can give me a thorough answer~

@vexsilver: So would I need to get the pro, then, if I still wanted to do this? And what's the portability like on yours? Is it still pretty lightweight?
From what I have heard Pro is the way to go. If you want to run maple Pro is what you should get.
Most of them would and I have a Surface Pro and it heats up fairly quickly and makes the fan run loud. I tried it once, I don't like it because you're just making it overwork itself and shorten the span of the device. But then again, I have too many computers/devices at my leisure heh

Desktop will be always top choice. I'd purchase a cheaper tablet ~200-300 price range [probably an older gen ipad/ipad mini] for your work and invest in a desktop. If you need portability, then go for a laptop.

@VexSilver, just a warning though, continuously charging the device will shorten the battery capacity and life expectancy of it.
Yea thats common sense. Ive had mine for about 2 years and I can still easily make 5 hours of constant drawing on power saver.

She also makes a good point. You will not be able to install any programs on an RT device, you'd "HAVE" to get the pro, otherwise you're stuck with nothing more than a tablet that can't install programs.

I play maple on my surface pro 2 all the time. Yes it gets warm on high performance but nothing bad so i just keep it propped up. Looks nice too. Just make sure you have your charger cause it'll die in like 2-3 hours gaming. Make sure its a pro though because that's actual windows and not that RT crap.

The surface 4 is coming out soon, and from what I've heard about surfaces, they're not worth purchasing unless it's the pro version.
