A Useful Thing to Have

My friend, not putting her IGN because she probably won't like it if I do, asked for a merching buddy's help. So I responded to her and told her about my merching buddies and merchers in my alliance. She didn't respond and kept requesting help. It took me abit but I realized she had blocked my buddy chat. I brushed it off as her loss, she sold her stuff for less then what she should have. Why do you have buddies that you block their chat 24/7? What's the point? I don't block my buddies chat unless they're spamming sexual remarks or speaking a different language CONSTANTLY. I also request help often from some buddies. Like what to train on, who can train with me, help me on a quest, if I should cube or not, such like this. Why would people just have a buddy for the sake of using up a space? Or like my sister, she relies fully on me for help on Maple. I'm expected to drop everything and run off to Victoria Island to help kill pigs or stuff like that. Why not just make buddies and talk to them? It's not hard. I make new ones everyday. I get the whole, I want to train in peace or I can't be helped to read and train but seriously? How can some Maplers go without buddies?

Sorry that it's long and all (for some Basilers) but I'm just wondering. Do you block some buddies chat 24/7 and leave them on your list? Do you know someone who does? Or do you, perhaps, know why some people go friendless despite the benefits of friends?

I dont have any buddies at all o.o I don't socialize with people much. I only ever talk to the people in my Guild/Alliance.
My alliance is so huge and they're all goofy. They actually provide comedic relief. And it's nice seeing both sides of the conversation rather than just the half from your buddy.

My buddies don't have to block me. They just plainly ignore me.

I don't block buddy chat at all. But mostly I don't even add much people to my buddy list because they just want to take up a buddy space and it
s kinda annoying if they never talk to me although I can see what they say.

I've never blocked a buddy. Maybe I'll say I've blocked them when they're annoying just to see their response and curse me out even more without knowing that I'm there. c:
