How to kill normal Gollux as a merc?
Hi, I have a lvl 208 merc at 170k buffed range (still working on it). The other day I tried killing normal gollux but the counter on my head went off and I died five times. o.o How to avoid this? I watched some videos but none of them feature mercs. What skills do you guys like to use and where do you stand to avoid time bomb?
Any advice would be really appreciated ^^

Yeah, I basically do the chin like the videos above do. As for the eyes, usually I wait for gollux to use his full screen electric shock attack and then i jump down and take care of the mobs. Rarely does it let through one mob. Also, you should be safe from any attacks except for his hand one, usually, when you jump down. The gem should go down fast enough for you to just hit it. If you need anything, just let me know in game, since we're in the same world alliance.

There's actually a decent amount of vids.. iirc, that is, because back then I watched a lot of vids to learn. But then, I might've just been watching hard mode ones.

Like the first comment said, stand in the middle, use Ishtar's Ring and watch for Gollux's attack animation, move side to side accordingly.
For example, if you're on his right and hes about to attack you, walk left, kill the golem and come back, rinse and repeat, with your range you'll kill it pretty quick.
Kill them summons before they get to Gollux's chin. If they reach it they'll add 1 to the timer above your head; when it reaches 5 you die.
Try to find a runethat gives damage as it would help for a bit. Do what @misscherilyn said and strafe left or right. The counter starts because the little mini gollux things reach the center, so you just have to kill them before they reach there. Good luck
I actually get one hit killed before I even reach the eyes though... The counter explodes I think?
I normally find that the gems and eyes are killed too quickly for the counter to be a problem, are you standing on the very far left edge of the platform at the eyes to avoid being attacked?
With the mobs on the bottom try jumping down, lightning edge to clear left side, and chain that to wrath of enreal or unicorns to clear the right. With the gem make sure to jump + leaf tornado to avoid wasting time walking to it
also I didn't have much trouble finding hellux solo vids on youtube so try searching for those instead of the other modes
@astridlilac Stand in the middle and IR while moving from side to side, moving left when the head shifts right, and right when the head shifts left. You can get rid of the summons with IR,wrath of enlil, and/or spikes during the 1-2 sec frame while the head is facing the opposite direction. It takes some practice to get used to - g'luck!
