Yes, not required. But its a good habit to read the patch notes before playing. It doesn't take long to go the entire thing.

So have I, I always wanted to make it untradable though, just to be safe, but what I didn't know is that I can't even use scissor to make it tradable unless they have that effect originally. That's why you should read double and triple of times...
