K-Town (Korean Version of Jersey Shore)

I've just recently found out a new show is coming out about Korea Town in Los Angeles. Apparently its going to be an Asian, more specifically, Korean version of Jersey Shore, so yeah it's not going to be pretty.

I'm not sure if this topic has been mentioned before, but i think its worth talking about seeing how there is a lot of controversies in the Asian communities. From the comments on youtube, most asians are seeing this as a disgrace, however, i think it's also a good thing. Despite it not being the best representation of Asian Americans in the media, anything to pull us away from the current stereotypes of human calculators and nunchuck wielding ninjas seem rather positive. (i know ninjas don't wield nunchucks, but I'm trying to portray the ignorance of what the media has down to our culture and the idea of that sounds pretty bad ass as well imo)
However, i am still very ambivalent about this and hoping to hear some of your thoughts and opinions about the subject.

Please try to be open minded and respect others opinion, so healthy dialogue may be established and not turn this into a heated racist argument.

nothing new here, Jersey Shore is a disgrace to Italians and i've heard plenty about that

though i guess it's not so great for Asians to get bad rep like this when they're already so underrepresented in American media.
