I wanted to do something between my work, and thought it would be fun to try drawing my Kaiser. A few weeks back I logged in and got spammed with quests that just gave me a set of equipment that beat out all the scrolled stuff I sent over from my Aran!
I drew her without the helmet-- when I was recording, I started to draw it, but figured it'd look better to show the hair instead. I was very indecisive with the composition, but then I figured that the drawing was for fun, so I should just do exactly that! The equipment is very funky-looking in-game, anyway. I also recorded this drawing, despite how sluggish my computer is.

i thought i posted back but i guess i didn't! anyway @basschan this is my first time doing a chibi and thanks to a tutorial i found on deviant art by nekoshiei i think i did quite well! i hope u like it! btw i suck at drawing and my scanner takes awhile to load and stuff haha... (laziness) but this MSpaint process makes my hand hurt.. lol.. your drawings I can't even tell you used that process! they still look wonderful as ever. I'm a little biased because I love elements but the Fire mage looks awesome!

hope you enjoy first time!

this is without ears which is better? o.o
@BassChan: yeah i think i should start on paper lol so I can learn the basics and shapes & probably get a mouse cuz yah unfortunately i have no tablet and i don't have a mouse either! D: But for you to say "Wow, that's awesome!" is a super huge compliment..

I really adore the photo you drew! Thank youuu! I would totally be interested to see the drawings that you scanned and colored over! or is it on your deviantart page?
I don't think they exist anymore, they're really old. Like reeeeeeally old. Back before I had a tablet. But the process is still something I use nowadays. Actually, this is the most recent uploaded application of that process, but I also did it for my class final. This is probably my most successful drawing done in that process, which is painted under/over a pencil drawing.

Wow, that's awesome! So you really don't have a tablet? I wouldn't force myself to draw digitally if I didn't. You can always draw on paper and scan it in, it's a lot easier to control as well! I think with some of my early drawings, I'd just take a picture of the drawing since I didn't have a scanner, and just color right on top of that. It didn't look that great but it is what it is, haha.
I finished yours, too! Hope you like it.
If you want any help with drawing related things, just hit me up, because I'm more than happy to help!

@MsxMama: I generally say HeroTori, since she's the character I put the time into. She's also based on an actual character of mine, which is what I generally have people draw for art trades.
...I kinda wanted to draw your current avatar. I like her design the most.

@BassChan: YES YES! I am super down! You can do either of my listed characters(whichever is easier or better for your new process) But if you want me to choose then i would choose Azrielx3 because I like the black hair but i like all 4 of my listed characters. :}

Which character of yours should i do?

I will do more than 1 though to make it more fair since you are very advanced.
Y'know, I have a new process I want to try out, and I want to do it on something that will be less stressful than an actual job. So If you're up for it, I'd like to do the trade now!
Naw, it's all good! I generally don't like requests because they often go unappreciated, and I do spend time on my drawings, even the quick ones take effort. I generally do commissions but I'm so swamped with them right now that I don't want to burden myself with any more until I finish what I have now. I just really like art trades because both people are putting forth an effort-- it doesn't matter what your skill level is, and they usually result in some pretty good drawings.
@basschan nvm i don't feel right doing an art trade even if i did multiple art types you are way to advanced for me and i don't think it would be fair. i did recently make a deviant art lol.. and i added you though so i can admire your work!
I did it in Photoshop and SAI, the former which is provided by my school and the latter has a free version available. Not that MSPaint is incapable of such drawings, but why draw with crayons when you have access to oil paints, y'know? It's technically drawn by hand as well, since you use your hands to draw and... even though I'm drawing on a slate while staring at a screen, it's not like I write code or click a "make drawing" button. I bet I'd have less flaws in my work if that was possible!

I did record it and upload it to YouTube as well. Here's a link to the deviantART submission. I'm currently not doing requests, I've just got too much work on my plate right now. But who knows. I do like doing art trades, though.
Awesome video and drawing. How long did it take in real time?
I said somewhere that it took around five hours, but totalling the video times together, it was closer to four and a half.

Her face makes her look so friendly, but she has awesome armor with intimidating looking wings and a huge sword. I don't know why, but it reminds me of this
I do believe his comment was actually satirical, rather than a request, since the genre of fantasy warrior girls tends to be filled with distasteful chainmail bikinis rather than practical armor. That's always been something I'm not a fan of, either, haha. I love Frazetta, but his influence still mars the depiction of fantasy females to this day.
*creeps into a corner and is ashamed* Eep... Glad I'm off duty. T_T
And you have a point, it's totally unrealistic. I'd say it's commercial more than anything else.

On another note I again love you how used a brush instead of "magic wand plus water colour plus blurr plus OMG CTRL Z plus some more blurr" etc etc.

Basil Market artist don't deliver; they just do what they like. And that's how it should be done.

Everyone knows a woman's armor should reveal more to be most effective.

On a side note I'd love to see this same drawing but with the kaiser helm on.
Ooooh that one. Hmm, I think I have that one actually. And it totally would've been good looking! Crap.
I was, but I was really drawing it for how it would be reduced on this site, and a cluttered composition like that would end up looking like... a jumbled mess. I think if I really wanted to sell that as the composition, I'd have to really pull out.

that's supposed to be 2-handed, two handed! i think i'm in love with the background-ish parts of the drawing, the effect on the horns and wings, how the actual wings are semi transparent, the cape and tail... mad props as usual.

for some reason, your faces remind me a bit of K-On, i need to watch that series.
