This guys hit the nail on the head.
Although, we are the weakest 1v1. Mobs of 3-8 we tend to dominate.
They're completely different classes. It's not that difficult of a choice:

Hero if you intend to do a lot more bossing than you expect
BaM if you wish to be support and mobility.
in kmst i have both battlemage and hero but...... they are lvl 180+ so i cant remember which one i had more fun on or which one was cheaper to fund

Battlemage. They are similar to Heros but with more mobility , helpful party buffs, and cheaper to fund.
