Laptop Help
Hello. I'm going to university in under 20 days (boo) and I'm looking to purchase a laptop.
Some info:
-I live in Canada
-I'm going to be studying life science (biology, chemistry)
-Programs include MS Word, Chrome, some basic biology and chemistry programs that I may have to download for class (nothing too big, hopefully)
-I want it to be able to play games on it (League of Legends specifically)
-I'm not too interested in game settings. I usually play at medium on my PC.
-I'm going to do the majority of my research and my assignments on the laptop but also on my home computer (so I want to transfer stuff easily between the laptop and computer)
-Battery Life isn't too important but of course the longer, the better.
-Pretty much a laptop I can use on a daily basis and is reliable/won't crash on me (bad experiences on previous laptops).
$700 limit, maybe a bit more

Their laptops are on sale today Future Shop Website. So I'm looking to buy one with your help/recommendations. Thank you!
Edit: I'm not a fan of Mac's.

ewwwwww UofT
I have a burning hatred for 1366x768 laptop displays. If you willingly use one, you don't deserve to post anything that might persuade OP to buy garbage. Also BasilMarket has a tech forum for this kind of stuff.
I would love to help, except I don't want to allow spoonfeeding (and your two choices so far tell me that you need to spend some time researching like a smart consumer rather than trying to buy something cheap now). And I have no idea why you care so much about HP or i5 processors -- you didn't even state a generation. You have a $700 limit so it's not like AMD is bad.
Sony vaio laptops are very reliable.
Sources: I own one and bought them for the workplace due to the reliability
If you're a commuter student, get an ultrabook. Those are way too bulky to be lugging around every day.
UofT. They don't have any specs, heck you don't even need a laptop for my program lol.
15.6 imo is pretty big to be luggin around
What uni are you going to, don't they have guidelines for what you need
That samsung is nice, but it says sold out online.
Sorry I made an edit at the end.
Macbook Air at 999$
