For you phone junkies

A couple questions here.

1. What smartphone should I get (AT&T)?
2. If an iPhone, 4s or 5? College budget btw.
3. Should I buy an unlocked phone and take it to t-mobile or sprint for unlimited data?

I figure if I get a high end smartphone why not have unlimited data to use it versus relying on wifi? Also I hear people always recommending me to get an iPhone. If I must though, why not get the 4s now since it's cheaper and runs as well as many new high end smartphones?
How much is a college budget? Whats ur max you will spend on the phone + fees, and how much are you wanting to pay every month?

1. Get the Samsung Galaxy s2, s3, note 1, note 2, HTC one X, Samsung Galaxy Nexus (buy from Google Play Store its unlocked), Android has an event on the 29th, most likely a new Nexus phone. if so the Samsung Galaxy nexus will be cheaper, or get one of those new Windows Phone 8.
2. If i were i'd get the iPhone 5. Its only $100 bucks more for the phone itself. If the The activation fee, and other fees cost as much as a new iPhone 5 to an iPhone 4s, then get the iPhone 5. if the the activation fee, and other fees cost less for the iPhone 4s, then get the 4s.
3.I hear T-Mobile has a good HSPA+ network for fast 3g thats almost fast as 4g(idk if this is true).
On the device itself (with a new 2 year contract) I wouldn't want to spend more than 150 and 120/month. If I go the unlocked route and bring the device to t-mobile or another carrier that offers unlimited data, max I want to spend is about 250. Many t-mobile plans I've run across are much cheaper than AT&T and they have the data benefits. I live in Washington state too so service is good throughout.

So right now I'm just trying to weigh the benefits over the possible hassle and other underlying fees AT&T might try to slip in.

I don't know alot about Smartphone, but the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a 4.8 screen (iPhone 5 has a 4inch) and is cheaper than the iPhone 5 atm. I'm waiting to get the iPhone 5 though because I love the way it looks. Unlocked phones costs alot btw.

Iphone 4 pretty cheap now with AT&T. Unlocked is so overpriced so forget unlimited data.
