Maplestory On Steam
Hiya!
So, in a bout of anger, I uninstalled Maplestory last night...
But alas, this game is a sad addiction and throughout the course of today I thought too much about how left in the middle of all the action (with the new patch, content and the fact that I made a new character) so... I decided to re-install it!
But for some reason, Pando Media Booster was acting all strange; it said that I wouldn't download because my internet (college wifi) was "not connected" when it fact it was. (It's not my campuses internet because I've uninstalled/reinstalled this game multiple times. )
After multiple restarts, troubleshooting and system restores... I just about to give up and thought that the heavens really did never want me to play Maplestory again.
Then, I realized... STEAM! *facepalm* I know, right? Curse me for being resourceful, I would've been happier without the game anyway.
Anyways, I was just wondering if any Basiler's use Steam to play Maplestory and how your experience with it is. Also, is it possible to play two different games at the same time? (Say I'm leeching at LHC on Maplestory and want to play Borderlands 2... [assuming my computer is powerful enough to run both programs] can it be done via Steam?)
Thanks a bunch! And if anyone seems to have some miraculous fix for the Pando Media Booster problem, that'd be awesome!

Fantastic. Thanks everyone for the input!
@allovershoe: .......Awesome. I am in the same boat with the CC thing and yet I am in thier "secret golden snail" club. I literally quit for a year when they did that to me, I was that pissed. Still am to this day. They will never be forgiven, but if this Steam performs, my anger may finally become muted.
What do you mean charge credit via Steam? Like you can use your credit card to get NX? Also, does MS run better on Steam? Thanks in adv for the answer.
Yup~! Nexon won't let me use my credit card to charge NX but steam does because you can charge your credit card for steam currency and use that to buy NX
and... not really. Not a noticeable difference. It's frustrating at times because sometimes you have to keep updating it and it takes awhile.
Only cons of steam is that if you D/C you have to login again. It's not like game launcher unfortunately. Only thing I like about running Maple on steam is the fact that I can charge credit via steam.
You CAN run 2 different games HOWEVER, you CAN'T run 2 of the SAME game at once.

The overlay that is described above is definitely a big reason why I went Steam for Maple. Another benefit of the overlay is that you can IM and talk via voice with your online Steam friends. The voice chat experience on Steam still isn't superior to that of Skype in my opinion, but hey, it's kinda nice! Last time that there was a patch on Maple, I noticed that Steam automatically downloaded and installed the update as well, which is quite handy. The in-game web browser is very nice to have at the press of 2 buttons, and since you don't have to tab out for it you can still see what is happening in maple through the transparent Steam overlay. Good luck to you on whatever you decide to do!
Definitely goin' with Steam! Anyone can add me on Steam if they want: BrownAdventurer
It's a lot faster to download it through Steam at least for me it was and I can also confirm you can play more than one game at a time I've played Terraria while afk in Maple
I like the Steam experience
pressing shift+Tab will open a browser, friends list, guides and all that. So convenient.
You can. Ive been afk in Maple and playing Counterstrike at the same time.
I use it, and I prefer it over any other way of playing the game.

I can run Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite at the same time on steam with no problems.
