game of destiny discussion post

this is the event detail for the game of destiny event:

March 11 - March 24
Requirement: Lv. 33 or above

During the event period, accept the quest '[A Game of Destiny] Temporal Wormhole' by clicking on the Temporal Wormhole in the Event Hall.
After completing the initial quest, click on the Temporal Wormhole to enter a random map with a quest to complete in that map.
Upon completing the quest, you must answer a question to move on to the next map and quest.
Selecting the correct answer will move you to the next stage.
Selecting an incorrect answer will move you out of the wormhole.
You can only enter the wormhole once per day.
Complete 8 quests in succession to complete the event.
You get EXP for completing each quest.
Once you complete 8 quests you can complete the final quest '[A Game of Destiny] Better Late Than Never' though the star event notifier on the left hand side of the screen to receive an additional reward.

I have tried it today and failed, incorrect answer for the first question. The question that they ask you doesn't seem to follow any particular logic, but that could totally bias since i only had one question.
now since you have answer 8 of these correctly in a row, I have been wondering if there was a similar event in KMS and some one had already made a post somewhere that has all the answer to all the question.

For the quest that requires you to collect 10 meso ranger gloves and 10 meso ranger boots each, the answer is "kid with the bear mask".

i'd advise you to just exit if you get this quest, the drop rates for the wooden boards were extremely low even with my spider, but maybe it's better for some people

anyway, as to how to finish the quest, this is what i remember doing:
- talk to the guy on the most right --> he prompts you to talk to both the guys to the left of him
- you'll end up with 2 quests that both ask for a number of screws, cogs, and wooden boards
- after collecting enough items to complete both quests, i talked to the two scientists
- then i reported back to the original guy
- he should ask you in the end which person to choose: i think the answer is the one talking about the person in the sea that listens to him?

extra bit:
i think the reason why you get stuck might be because quests are repeatable right away for some maps.
i had a similar incident for the baby birds map in which after collecting the items required i clicked too quick and accepted the quest again.
if this is the case, just ignore the fact that the quest is in your in progress tab because you should still be able to complete the quests given by the original guy

Thanks a lot for this thread! But does anyone know how to complete the airplane/ship one with the boards? Whenever I do it, I am able to get the plane and the ship but I keep getting the same quests over and over and can't find a way to move on :x.

I think I got that on my last run, although I don't believe it was last. (Just to answer for everyone.)

Kill 300 bunnies, collect 100 corks, etc. I also hear there is a quest where you have to kill multiples of enemies all for just that quest, which sounds absolutely ridiculous.

@MegaScience just wondering, at the end of the quests did you have a map with a mini black heaven ship that you had to kill? i got to that map today with 5 seconds to spare so i'm not sure if it was the last quest... also do you remember if the mount was tradeable?

EDIT: nvm, got the mount just now on my lumi, turns out the coupon is tradeable like the icon in the event window suggests

This event is mostly luck on which quests you get; I would suggest keeping some quest items if you can before you get kicked out. Luckily I managed to get my mount today with only a greed pendant + 18% drop IA and only having 2 looting quests (Recycling and Model plane/boat).

the problem is not that the monsters have alot of HP, its more about spawn rate......if you get the kill 4 different ore muncher quest, the chances are, you can't finish in 20 minutes

Forfeit all the quests for that map and redo.
I was stuck on the 3 birds. I accidentally did the 3 birds quests a second time and the scientist NPC wouldn't let me finish so I had to forfeit his and redo the birds again.

ColinLL, How the hell did you finish the quest?
I finished twice both of the killing sub quests, but instead of finishing the main quest, it bring the sub quests up everytime again..
Everytime i fail because of this damn quest..

Oh and I'm not sure if this effects gameplay, but on the Kill Bunnies map, I was on the left side vine and somehow managed to fall through the map where the little overhang on the left side is when jumping off. It was scary. Luckily I respawned inside the map. I recall falling through the map can sometimes disconnect you, so when I fell, I was braced for raging.

[b]Edit:[/b] I just got the mount! Thank you everyone who contributed to this thread. I decided I'd add to my Mutant Ribbon Pig and Greed Pendant by doing this event during 2x, using the 2x drop coupon Nexon provided. This made the drop quests MUCH easier. I made it with about 3 minutes to spare.

The mount has the glide skill and works as an auto-pilot mount, if anyone is curious. Otherwise, it's just fun to drive this thing around Henesys.

There was a question about fusion and it had mega ore muncher, baby ones that i had to kill

The answer for that was: build a machine to wipe them all

or something along those lines

wait.... since that's the case, then we can exploit this.

you know, go in, almost finish the quest, get out, try again tomorrow starting with a different quest, and on the last day, finish it all at once.

unless the quest you didn't finish will be the start of your next run

Well at the very least, quests are maintained between days. I didn't get to complete my kill 300 bunnies quest two days ago, and yesterday I got it again but kept my previous kill count since the quest didn't remove. Worst case, you could kill as many bunnies as you can and then let it fail so next run, if you get it, you have that much more time.

ugh.......it all comes down to luck, you could get 3 of those 'slot of monster' quests, and you are pretty much not going to finish it.

Besides answers to the questions, any advice on finishing within the time limit? Particularly quests like "Kill 300 Rabbits" and "Collect 100 Corks from Bottles." I can do them, but they eat a significant amount of time the way I do it. Being a level 200 Shadower,. I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong - I'm the videogame equivalent of an old man who doesn't understand technology. Been playing since 2006.
