Replacement phone

Anyone have experience with getting a replacement phone from their carrier? My LG G3 (got about a month ago) has a vertical red line running down the screen and when I took it to t-mobile, they said I can get a replacement. The order's currently pending for shipment, but I had some questions that slipped my mind while I was at t-mobile...

1) Will my replacement phone be new, or like-new? I was told to keep my battery, sim card and back cover from my old phone. This led me to believe that I'd be getting a "like-new" phone, and not a new one - even if it is just the "phone" part...? Idk what to call it. I did some searches on Google and the majority of consumers got "like-new" phones. I'll kind be bummed if that's the case... I like knowing that what I purchased is new and not... previously used.

The red line started appearing yesterday, and I took it to t-mobile a few hours later. However, I just noticed that the red line is no longer there. Should I call t-mobile and ask them to cancel my replacement order? I believe that if the issue happened once, it happened for a reason - somethings defective in the phone - so maybe I should still get a replacement?

I'll look into getting in touch with customer service about any questions I have... but I'd like to get some answers if anyone has experience in such issues.

Appreciate the help.

I would just snatch a phone off of ebay or go to a store that sells refurbished phones so you can know what you're getting
or if you can renew your contract just buy a new phone.....

If it's anything like what verizon does, then the phone will be refurbished, but look new.
