The Average Players Damage Triples Yearly

In values against 'normal' bosses in 'ideal' settings, the average player's damage has tripled every year for the past few years.
In early 2011, it 500k dps, on mechs, dual blades, BaM's, etc. hitting 50k's per line
In early 2012, it was 1.5m dps on mercedes, demon slayers, BM's, etc. hitting 50-300k's per line (depending on class)
In early 2013, it was 4m dps on db's and Kaisers averaging 100k's per line
Now in early 2014, it's about 12m dps on Zeros hitting 600k's-1m's per line

Following the trend, in 2015, the average player will be doing about 35m dps
2016: 100m dps
2017: 300m dps
2018: 1b dps

By the way, I'm talking median, not mean.
How has your damage output changed over time? Discuss.

[EDIT] Thanks @gotarmaru for fixing my grammar.
As @Takeback3r pointed out, 'ideal' settings (not counting boss defense or physical resist, nor movement and boss buffs)

Example: even though my AB does 55m dps in an 'ideal' setting, she only did 330 dpm on average in 10 minute spans against empress Cygnus, because of a 90% impedance rate from dodging, boss defenses, physical resist, deaths, buffing, etc.
@gotarmaru: I use the word 'semifunded' to include link skills, skills, self made items, etc, to
express the meaning the capabilities of a normal player in this game.

This was conducted by sampling the abilities of players against bosses, what difficulty levels can half of GMS players defeat (this is how i get the median guy, with half above, half below)
Player population as in man hours logged in (example, Bera has about 2500 people logged in simultaneously on average, so I estimate a population of perhaps 10000, so I base my decision on what 5000 players in Bera can probably do)

Now, it's easier to measure using different difficulty levels of Gollux, mu lung dojo capabilities, etc.

@Takeback3r: DPS is damage per second = Number of lines hit * mean damage per line * hits per second
I also refer to optimum setting damage output, so it doesn't include time you don't hit a boss.

Your optimum damage output is cut by about a half for bosses that require movement like magnus and CVellum
and further reduced from defense and physical resist.

It's like a current source providing optimal output in 'ideal' settings, but is dampened in real circuits.
I like the survey but with the amount of other variables, IDEAL SITUATION AND EVALUATION is still so far away. However When I plot the data over time, I'm not really getting the ideal shape. There are indeed spikes and the numbers only go up but I see that the rate of change increase and decline drastically change at times. I Like Pineapple. I have no basil friends Please Add me~

Well, that was an interesting look at the damage increase trend for the past few years. If anything, I think you're being a little too conservative with your estimates, but then again maybe I'm overestimating what your definition of "average" funding is.
For me, it has been about 6-10x per year:
Early 2011: Bishop 150k dps
Start of 2012: Mercedes 1.2m dps
Late 2012: Phantom 10m dps
Mid 2013: Angelic Buster 55m dps
2014: I wonder how the trend will play out (250-500m dps projected), but so far, 100m dps and I have 8 equip slots open and 100b to spend

@gotarmaru: I don't count mules or hackers, and I said average, so no outliers.
This is based on looking at what 'normal' semifunded players can achieve.
Funds aren't everything, Char-cards, Links, Skill can influence DPS per hit.
Average = no outliers?
You mean MEAN?
With that done how did you conduct this survey? < I REALLY WANTNA KNOW~!

What Population or sample did you use and how did you conduct this survey? What are the qualification to be an Average Player?
Are there Filters or methods to reduce bias including but not limited to Mules, hackers, False Information, Outliers, etc?
