Well im going to end the thread here. i dont wish the site to be named nor any more false or real information to get out that can potentioly hurt more victums, i hope anyone whoe reads this thread understands what happens when you hack. and that you run the risk of things like this happening, dont expect to get as long as the few who were "saved". gnight people

This thread has gotten a bit out of hand, sadly if we don't stay on topic i might lock it for the sake of i dont wish to start a huge flame war

when the post was created it basically said not to dwell to deep or ill get hacked. i understand that.but im not dwelling anyway and even if i did i wouldent care.

exactly. not everyone here hacks and if anyone was bright enough to know meso gens dont actually exist unless its private which i dought even then. which i bet at most hackers DO know. then you would also understand they had no idea wth they were doing meaning nothing they had was hacked tobegin with. all your badmouthing is invalid guys. they didnt deserve it, end of story

Edit @Epicmapler first off just cause these people got hacked for searching for a meso gen dosent mean that they actually hack, cuase most people understand that meso genes dont exist and if they do there private, meaning anyone seaching for them has never hacked or understands how to, to begin with.

#2 even if its true it was to hopefully get these wrongfully hacked charecters a chance to get there stuff back.

No matter how you look at it, they dont deserve what happend

i honestly dont think these people deserved to get hacked, a Scare? yes maybe if this teaches the 3 people i helped and the few others that were also helped not to hack then i feel it was worth it....maybe.. buut to go as far as takeing there items and deleting there characters? thats going to far

besides what it saddens me is the # of people who uses BT, the list started on 1111 and im sure the guy didnt posted the whole list.

if you actually tend to take what i said by heart so be it, but i also said that other games have crappy communitys, what i also said was maplestory had the worst that
"I have seen" i do pride my self in know the communitys of quite a large number of online games, reguardless of the fact if that makes me a nerd or what not, many people i can assure you would agree with me. the community its self has problums mostly becuase of its hacker base and its age base. you can get mad if you want but regardless of how you feel its true.

Since it was valid information, does this mean another database breach? Or is it remnants from the last breach yet?

Edit: Other theories are accepted, obviously.

most of those people are banned accounts , hence why most of those accs had sometimes same pass as others , very easy PICs, stripped characters, characters with no name sense (sadjkah, sjda , ehk, etc), undergeared(lvl 120+ with lvl 50 hats.
they got keylogged by trying to search for meso gen hack.

what is worrying me is that by logging on so many accounts in one single IP will get me in trouble <.<

im sure quite alot of people copyd them to a notepad, but the amount of people who are willing to share it with you are probobly slim to none.

its also probobly important to point out that, only people who went to a specific site looking for a meso Gen got hacked, as he said in the post.

i honestly dont care. i do feel good about my self thx, but this thread was mostly aimed twords what basil did in this situation. did they fall to temptation and steal items pillage and plunder? or did they do the right thing. honestly if i let my self get aggravated because you think bad of me for "bragging" which i am not. then fine. at least in the end reguardless of what i said i did the right thing. and thats more then i can say for alot of other people

you underestimate the immaturity of the maple world, many people in many games complain about there community but sadly maplestory has got to be the worst.. and ive played many games, i love the game ive supported it for years.... but the sort of people who play this game... its just sad to say the least..

to be very honest im serprised at how many people have helped. then agian the number that dident its probably FAR greater, but for as long as ive known the maple community, this brings back a little hope for it, when i see that people care.

err if you saw the thread those accs were people trying to find for hacks.
hence 1/3 of them are banned accounts or people with same pass

I think most of the people deleted chars etc. Anyway I went on the webiste and reset the PICs of a few so hopefully they'll get their info back via email.

alot of the accounts were reg accounts, one of the said accounts had specs, luckely his wife was on and i was able to transfer his items to her. hopefully i was not the only one actualy TRYING to help these people, else i will be SEVEARLY saddend by tis community

@tevoit, i didnt know u could change the pic without the email, if i had i would have and then tried to contact them... a peice of knowledge i wish i had about 20 minuts ago plus, its better that a friend gets the items rather then some random noob right? at least then hes got a chance. better then nothing i suppose.

I would've but by the time I got to them they were already deleted, kind of pointless deleting someones hard work. But chaka you would've been better off changing their pics. That way no one could delete the characters/steal items and the original owners could simply do a pic reset. Plus your way ran the possibility of the friends stealing items.

Were the accounts geared?

a hacker had posted the accounts of about 60 people, many of which were between lvl 80-150 the thread was live for about 10 minuts before deletion, i knew people would get on to steal said items and delete charecters, so i set off on a rampage to try and save as many acounts as possibal... sadly i was only able to help 3..

What did I miss?
How did they get a hold of 500 accounts?
