Is now a good time to come back to Maple?

Howdy!

I randomly decided to check out the MapleStory front page to see the recent updates, and noticed that they finally fixed Masteria! So now I'm considering coming back to Maple.

The last time I played was last December to play with my friend for old times' sake. But we quit after a couple of days. It seems that nobody really parties or does party quests anymore. The entire focus was on that stupid Evo chamber. The gameplay was horribly boring.

Is it still like that now? Do people still only solo for the majority of the game? Or is there a bigger emphasis on partying or party quests now?

Thanks!

@CherryTigers Cool! Maybe I'll start up my old DrK again then

@fradddd Haaaaaa.... Nope. I'm broke. My old main got hacked. My newest char went completely unfunded; his equips came from quests.

No.
Try this:
In real life, get cryogenically frozen in 1800.
Get unfrozen in the present.
Try to survive without being homeless.

@Cheezzydude OT, Nexon is really trying to make people party with each other, but people are also able to solo just about everything they'd need to. Especially rich people. What I meant with the IRL thing is that most people who come back are just considerably poor. But I didn't see that you only quit last December so you might still be a similar funding status.

Basically average seems to be 10bil worth of equips, and THEN cubing them all to at least unique.

@Cheezzydude: Many adventures are actually on the top of the DPS charts. Drk, Pally, fire poison mage, etc. Marksmen too. They're very powerful.
@Cheezzydude I believe almost all maps are now party play.

Almost all characters are viable in terms of bossing with a select few that are in dire need of a revamp. The game's relatively balanced, or at least I can see that Nexon is making the effort to balance things.

Obviously, Kanna takes the cake for most needed in a party.
Bishops are good too.
Beast Tamers are nice.
All other characters can basically fend for themselves.
All characters? Even adventurers? Last time I checked, nobody played adventurers because of how weak they were compared to newer classes.
This game is a solo game if you make it to be so. It's a party game if you make friends. This is the same with life as well. You can't expect people to just walk up and talk to you. You've got to get out of the bubble and actually begin the conversations to make friends.
Haha, very true. Thanks!

So what places are there to party-level now? Also, which classes are the most frequently taken into parties and bosses?
Except now the entire focus is on Evo or DiPQ, which is basically Evo but with stages.

There's a bigger emphasis on partying but not party quests, but people still only solo for the majority of the game. So now it's not Nexon's fault this game is so unsocial, Maplers are just like that now.
DiPQ? Is this new? What does is stand for? What are the requirements?
