Applicable to all - Squishy, costly to fund (equal funding on other classes yield higher range), High mobility (then again, who isn't mobile nowadays), Flash Jump
Applicable to DB - High Avoid, has two weapons (more potential for %boss), Mirror Image > Shadow Partner (until revamp)
Applicable to Shad - High survivability (shadow shifter + meso gaurd), decent mobbing skills, iFrames, wall of numbers from Meso Explosion
Applicable to NL - Does decent damage in 1on1 scenarios, the squishiest of the 3 classes

Admittedly, I never got my DB very high. I wasn't a huge fan of the way they played, but I know several people who loved playing DBs. My NL is currently better in bossing scenarios than my Shad. My shad trains much more efficiently than my NL.

(Currently) if you like spamming one move then NL would more or less fit your style. The occasional FJ and jumping to reposition yourself is pretty important. Shads have keys all over the place since they're probably the only class that continues to use (attack) skills from second job.
NLs have 3 primary moves through out the game - L7, Avenger, TT
Shads go from - DoubleStab/L7 (depends on what you decide one --> Steal (mob scenario)/Savage Blow(1on1 scenario) --> BoT, Savage Blow, ME --> BS, BoT, SB, ME, Assassinate, and the occasional Ambush during cancel wep (i guess Ambush applies to NLs as well)

^I'm finding which class has the ability to survive longer among other thief classes...so yeah, it does matter.

Edit: Can't flip coins either, 3 classes but only 2 side for coins

pro: it's a thief
con: it's a thief

just roll a die/flip a coin
does it really matter? choose the one that sounds coolest to you

DB
Pro: After revamp, amazing damage, has the most damage potential out of the three, and even now great mobility, and IMO they're a very fun class to play
Con: Bad reputation, needs a lot of funding to be good, low HP, no supportive skills other than MW

Shad
Pro: Great defense, second best in all of maplestory, and pretty good damage
Con: Expensive, and with funding, they generally do less damage than the other two thieves, not many supportive skills

NL
Pro: with lots of funding, great damage, better damage after thief revamp
Cons: low hp, lots of funding, not many supportive skills

most of the cons here should be eliminated once the theif/pirate revamp comes out
