Question about Pokemon badges

I don't really like the wordings of all the badges.
So I have the Thunder badge (leafgreen)
The badge I got from Misty makes all pokemon 30 and below listen to me. The Celadon's gym badge makes pokemon under 50 obey me.
Since I have the badge between the two, does that mean I am still limited to the 30 level limit?
if you're personally training the pokemon past the level, then they will most likely obey you. the only problem i ever encountered with pokemon not listening was through trades. i guess it's to prevent people from trading lv 100 pokemon to their noob games and sweeping all the gyms. if you are raising the pokemon yourself, you shouldn't run into problems with them disobeying you.
apparently it's all traded pokemons. Doesn't matter what level.
My Nidoking turned 31 and immediately disobeyed me. I asked for Double kick and he gave me Horn attack. And I traded a female Nidoran for him
@ChildCrusade: If it doesn't say it'll allow you to raise to a new Pokemon level, then I don't believe you can. (Actually Pokemon that you personally catch and raise tend to obey you no matter what. It's just Pokemon that you catch above that or trade that are above that that won't obey you)
So I'm going to gamble here and get my Charmleon and Nidoking past 40.
I hope it doesn't bite me.

It's not really something to worry about. Just go for the chance of your pokemon attacking. It's only annoying when they decide to go to sleep.
Urmm, you just got the badge that allows 50 and under to obey you, correct? That means Pokemon level 50 and under will obey you.
No the Thunder badge.
I'm in between the 30 and 50. The thunder badge only lets me use Fly outside. And speed boost...that's it.
