Rihanna is a success-obsessed machine

First off I should probably say that I'm a fan of rihanna's music, I really like her and her style with tunes and I enjoy her songs.

so we all saw her pretty much every-damn-where this past year, rihanna, she's still riding high on a wave of success from her famous redhead era with her album "LOUD" which dropped late 2010, but got its reputation and success in 2011 with all of the singles she's been dropping, late 2011 she released the lead single off of her NEXT album "talk that talk", "We found love" which kind of became that good song that you literally heard EVERYWHERE to the point where it became annoying (to me, at least), she released her album shortly after, with another single, "You Da One" (which dropped a couple of days before the album i think), the video for that song have been out for THREE weeks now, AND SHE JUST RELEASED ANOTHER SINGLE! O-O

Now That was a crapload of talk, but long story short, She's releasing an insane amount of stuff for that short time, as a person I'm 100% sure she never gets breaks since she's still on tour for over a year i think, doing multiple shows a week, photoshoots and video shoots, and when does she exactly take a break from all of that?

before you say "OMG U LIKE HER GO MURRY HER DERP DERP HURR" I'm talking because it kind of sounds like her record company is MILKING her for success and money, simply cashing in as much as possible off of a certain person's success and fame, not caring about their health or happiness. is this what the music industry's like these days?

Discuss.

There is so much stupid in this thread. I can see all of the self-conscience adolescence (inset word basil does not allow) MAINSTREAM STUFF attitude. It's really disturbing how many people try to be unique and end up being just like the other sheep in the barn. Do us all a big favor and do what you like, as Gary Barlow would say.

She likes to sing and make money. I hated her with the S.O.S. a few years back but her We Found Love found my love.
I don't really like any other songs of her.

I thought you meant "sex-obsessed machine" at first.
Whoops.

a break would help her but she's not writing the songs or touring constantly, and a lot of her drawn out hype just comes from the singles from one album being released throughout a year. i think she just needs to extend her current vacation and work out her stuff with chris brown.
Talent may be optional, but that doesn't mean success is easy. I guess after that selective process for becoming a celebrity success would be easy for them. But they're just taking advantage of their opportunities. I mean who wouldn't want to be more rich and famous?
Its really all about doing something that makes you different, doesn't matter if its good or bad but its all about doing something that's different, as soon as you're noticed then it carries on, a few examples:

Eminem - A good WHITE rapper.
Katy Perry - Good Cleavage.
Lady Gaga - ...
Ke$ha - the party animal whose drunk 24/7
Justin bieber - Teenage boy who can sing well, but is also good looking and good material for the sexual fantasies of teenage girls.
Adele - wait no, scratch that, She's just... Adele <3

So yeah, I hope you got what I'm trying to say, its not about being good or having talent, we all want more success and fame, but it got to that point where even if you're hella talented, you won't get noticed unless you're different.

@Notzach: @Aren: No but she did throw up on stage in her last two concerts.
I like Rihanna but her songs are so freaking repetitive.
i take it you've never listened to a t.A.T.u song?

OT: if i was in her shoes i'd be doing the same thing. it's not like she's passing out on stage while trying to dance like lady gaga did.

you make that seem like a bad thing, success isn't as easy as it use to been.
with most of our international pop artists being people who really just can't sing for their lives, I would beg to differ. you don't need talent at all to make it these days, either a good ass or a meat dress, and then you're good to go!

reminds me of the kingsley video on this, but yeah, she's been releasing songs nonstop for a long period of time now
Maybe she enjoys her job?
I'm sure she does, but you don't work 24/7 no matter how much you love your job, a simple 3 minute music video takes weeks to put out, that one picture for her album cover probably took forever to get, I'm sure she took hundreds of pictures over plenty of days.

what i'm trying to say is that no matter how much she loves it and enjoys it, there is a limit to how much a human being can take.
