Tips and Tricks for Ursus
Hey, just noticed that theres been lots of trouble clearing Ursus and it's mainly because lots of people don't know how to properly preserve their lives. Here are some tips and tricks that I learned doing 3 Ursus runs. If you have any other tips, please mention and help everyone out
1. Reviving
You should know a few things about reviving so that you know when and when not to revive people.
1a. You cant have your jump at spacebar, or else reviving will fk up.
1b. Whenever you get hit, you'll stop reviving someone.
2. How 2 not die
The main attack people are dying from at Ursus which can cause an easy 10+ deaths is his 1 hit ko move where he lies on the ground and blinks red. The best way I found to avoid this is by getting on top of his back. I've done this everytime and never died on it, and it helps the run out so much more when maybe only 2 people are dying rather than all 18 (lol).
Also, whenever Ursus grabs a player and drains his Hp with his hand or mouth, you need to attack whichever is doing that because he will stop grabbing/biting them if you deal enough damage fast. That should prevent deaths and the need to revive others
3. Teamwork
Make sure you're trying to always revive people and teaching people how to not die. In my runs, we went from having all lives down and only 25% hp down to having 75% hp down and 16 lives left, but some nuisances who wouldn't revive us. Teamwork is so essential in Ursus and when you get that down or bring an organized group of friends you'll realize he's a pretty easy boss
4. Skill Choice
Though you're not in a party when entering Ursus, you can create parties will you're inside the arena. Make sure you add a few friends to a party so you can all share some essential buffs that will of course aid in fighting him. When you're choosing skills, be considerate of
4a. Your main bossing skill/skills (I would say choose 2, theres no mobbing neccesary.)
4b. party buffs and very good self buffs.
Overall I hope I gave you guys a few good tips, sorry about the long rant and Idk if this would be considered the wrong area to post it but if I ever wanted to make a full fledged guide maybe later it would go much more into detail. Hopefully you guys can defeat Ursus now!
P.S. Arans are amazing for Ursus, for your attacks all you need to do is get Beyonder Blade in 1 skill slot and all your other skills can still be used through commands (not sure if thats a glitch). You can get good buffs like Maha, and save your friends the skill slot by taking Maple Warrior. Also arans have lots of essential buffs for themselves like Might and Drain.
Good Luck Everyone!

@cloudxuzuki: It worked on my pt member when he died
@cloudxuzuki: @hyhfct said that it does in the comments above. Not a bishop so I wouldnt know.
@hyhfct: Have 'ya attempted to use ressurection in Ursus? It didn't work for me so i wrote it off, perhaps i was glitched or something. Makes sense that ress wouldn't work though, can you confirm?
@chickensoul: Can only find out through doing more runs I guess. For now I think we got some really good and helpful observations so far for killing Ursus.
It appears from Orangemushrooms the loot Ursus drops is dependant on the body parts you damage.
move to a corner of the map and sit in a chair= heals hp
@chrisisez: The bomb may or may not have to do with some kind of invisible timer. For example, Ursus's HP isn't at a certain percentage after a certain amount of time, or nobody in the party has assisted someone in X amount of time. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what causes it since it's only happened once for me, but I suspect it's something to that effect.
@cloudxuzuki: Bishop's revive is an instant 1 sec thing compared to the lame 10 sec revive in ursus, so if you have an extra slot then rev might be usefu
@mythology100: Yeah ive had that happen once to me in all my runs but I'm unsure how to prevent it or what it does... good info though!
@wall: I have the same problem. Just hold down, then hold space.
Ursus has some ability that turns you into a bomb. I believe it can also hit other teammates, but I can't recall the details during my first 3 runs.
@helpingly: Yeah thats what I mentioned up in the thread, if you can get a well organized team it can be much easier to kill him. I had to deal with a lot of annoying people in my runs, but now I gathered a few friends Good luck on your Ursus runs!
@chrisisez: My only concern is how you're going to get that many people to listen to you, especially if everyone in this game tends to be trolls. I think that the only way to do it effectively is gather a good party of your guild/alliance.
@helpingly: I'd be glad to be of any help! And of course I don't mind!
Wow this is a very useful thread. Do you mind if I link to it in tomorrow's "Helpingly's helpful tip of the day"?
Thanks for all the good info so far everyone!
I shall assume this is a open thread so here's our observations: Potion pot does not count towards the 20 pot limit, basically unlimited pots via potion pot. Holy Shield doesn't work from bishops, nor does Smokescreen from Shads, easy to tank hits from the bear if you hug your bishop and spam angel ray. Be sure to coordinate your skills so no more than one or two people have the same buff in the same party. Ursus DOES NOT debuff (so far from what we tell) so dispell isn't needed. Holy fountain is a big plus, great for people that run away from the bishop. Heaven's door is a must, resurrection is useless since the revives are a player function, you don't actually die.
Oh wow I always use Space as jump : c Old Visual gameboy player : D
Hp familiars work inside too
lol its annoying but its easy to get used to. not much need to jump around anyways
