need help from anybody experienced with baking
i want to make chokladbollar but i don't really like cocoa and the recipe calls for cocoa powder so i'm trying to find a way to use white chocolate.
the only way to buy white cocoa-powder is to buy it through this brand that only sells it in 3 pound tins and it's like $12 so i'm not going to do that.
here's the recipe:
1 1/2 c quick-cooking oatmeal
1/4 c sugar
6 Tbsp butter, softened
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp coffee
coconut or pearl sugar for rolling in
how exactly would i go about substituting white chocolate for cocoa powder?

hmm, since you eventually mix everything together, i guess putting them into small pieces shouldn't hurt. if you're feeling brave, try melted chocolate for an even spread, but it may mix weird, not sure
Is that German or something? And why not buy the $12 tin? You could just make a ton of chokladbollar
OT: I'd assume just melt enough white chocolate to fill up 2 tbsp
it's swedish! i don't know, i don't really have very much money right now because i'm spending a lot on school and 12 dollars is sort of a lot especially for something like that.
i guess i'll just use a little bit less sugar and grate the frozen white chocolate. thank you every1

Combine butter, sugar, oats (mind you don't use the instant packets), cocoa powder, vanilla, and coffee. Roll into balls about the size of a meatball. Roll balls in coconut or pearl sugar to decorate. Eat right away, or refrigerate, or freeze if you prefer a harder consistency.
Makes about 15.
