4int1luks guide to Easy Monay

Everyone knows there's a market for collectibles, but what some people don't know is how easy it is to make money off of them. This is going to be a very brief, simple guide (with an example) detailing the steps from fraud to EZ$$.*

*Note: you should have some startup cash before doing this. You need money to make money, and like all guides for EZ$$, there's a bit of risk involved.

1) Learn the market. This should be step 0, but the collectibles market is different than the market for regular items. Clean, potless crap is essential for making a quick flip.
2) Take advantage of events. Everyone's been complaining about how this game is dying for at least the last 4 years. During that time, we've had a bunch of events that gave out free crap that can fetch a bit of money today.
3) Be lucky. If you're poor and unlucky, collecting isn't for you. You need to have good timing to buy your underpriced goodies, and you need to hope Nexon doesn't re-release the stuff you're holding on to.
4) Be patient. There's a collecting community in every world & alliance, but they're all very small. Unless you know the peeps in your world, you might be holding on to your goodies for a while.
5) Don't give in. This ties into step 4. If your goodie is very rare, your potential buyers will feel pressured to overpay.

And that's it! I'll provide a personal example below:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pickpocket Pilfer
- One day in 2012 I bought a Pickpocket Pilfer for 150m. I was very happy because it's the second coolest looking hat in the game, right behind the LeFay Jester.
- A few weeks later, someone smega'd they were buying a Pickpocket Pilfer. He didn't say his price, so I managed to milk 500m out of him.
- Later that year, for whatever reason, Pickpocket Pilfers were all over the market. I remember seeing 3 individual ones in shops at the same time. I bought one for 200m to replace the one I sold a while back.
- The craze died down, and prices rose again. I sold mine again for 400m.
- I found another one, this time scrolled, for 300m. I bought it and innocenced it.
- 2 years later, in 2015, I sold mine again for 400m. I definitely could have gotten more, since I just put it in my shop without trying to negotiate with anyone. This was me not following steps 4 and 5.
Total time: 3 years
Total profit: 300m
Total work: Absolutely none, since I never actually sought out and aimed to get this one particular item.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This was just 1 example of abusing old items. The older & rarer the item, the more expensive it is. If it's obscure, but not __that__ rare of an item, the more likely some noob non-collector will buy it for a silly price. I hope this helps everyone cashing in that yung paycheck. Thank you for reading, and thank you to Bizzaro Flame for inspiring this guide.

Pretty good concept. Merching comes in all different types. This is an interesting way to look at items. I personally don't do it, but I know a few merchants who work with chairs/perm nx/collectables and they make good money.

@Flya: I can spot a Fox main from a mile away. Thanks for your input. You're absolutely correct, but sometimes you just need to go for the gfycat moments.

@coldfridge understanding the market in general will bring you more profit then the collectors market. The collectors market holds a much larger risk then the normal market. Glad it worked for you though
3 years for 300m? doesnt sound worth it.
I'm busy outside of maple, so I like methods where I can figuratively stand beside a copy machine and print money. Another example would be 8 months for 4b profit off an angry mask, but that's an extremely rare item* that not everyone reading this guide can follow for themselves.

*It was extremely rare at the time of buying & flipping

@jerry5000 It doesn't sound like he's the best collector to me
