Anime

Hi, looking for a good fantasy Rpg style anime

SAO was amazing for the first couple of episodes, but then it became really bad really fast and I stopped watching it was one of the most disappointing things I've ever seen

Danmachi is really really terrible, like it's so bad that it makes SAO seem deep and complex in comparison

I loved the Negima manga, but there isn't an adaptation out there that can do the series justice

pls help there has to be a good fantasy anime out there somewhere

Well, you could try Slayers. The storylines do work like a plot out of a JRPG or DnD game, it is a fantasy setting... and each season is it's own self-contained, 26 episode story. Very good. Cannot recommend it more.

Problem Children are Coming From Another World, aren't they?

basically a less complicated version of No Game No Life

The thing I really loved from SAO was the Mother's Rosario arc. It was just totally awesome all the way through, especially Kirito's "you shall not pass" moment.

Personally didn't like the Light Novels. I read up to Mother's Rosario and thought they were just as bad. For me, the extra details included couldn't save the series as a whole from its bad pacing and characters, which both the animation and novels had.

Well, to each their own.

Danmachi was ok.
The thing with Accel World is that the MC is horrid.
Look At Anime Dosage Youtube channel for good fantasy,
No Game no Life

@Piana: Ah, I misread what you said as "play GU but don't read/watch/play any of the other ones". GU is a great game, though.
If you can play a PS2 game, try .hack//G.U. series.
Don't try any ,hack manga / anime adaptations though, they are extremely horrible.
The Legend of the Twilight mangas are fine, not so much the anime adaptation of it.

What's so bad about.hack//xxxx?

Also .hack//sign is good, although it's slow paced and certainly not for everyone.

For the recommendations, others have already pointed it out. Log horizon is a nice choice, the first season is nice. However for the second, the animation quality went down(due to switching animation company and lack of funds). No Game No Life is pretty cool. There are several Mangas out there that is similar to Sword Art, but also very interesting as they have their own situation. I can give you a couple if you want. Anichart.net have the list of anime that is upcoming and showing and shows the release date of each episode.
I think Fate/Zero is also a good addition, see if that suits your taste, the new remake of Fate/Stay Night is absolutely superb in terms of animation, it might get a bit boring but it is absolutely a fantasy pick as well as history(?).

No Game No Life follows the premise of two siblings thrown into a fantasy world but it's very different from SAO

Overlord starting this season sounds like it will be like that.
Also Shingeki no Bahamut is a pretty good fantasy tale.

Go watch "Devil Survivor 2 The Animation". It's based on an DS game that's gotten a remake really recently for the 3DS; it's pretty much a Megami Tensei anime. It's really well done in the 12 episodes they worked with.

An anime based of a JRPG, can't get any closer than that, right?

try Accel World. Unlike SAO, I found Accel amazing from beginning to end
