Typical DB or NL thread

So yeah imma ask the same old question maybe cuz I'm lazy maybe cuz the answers I've found aren't satisfying enough either way I would really appreciate some opinions. So I've recently become really interested in using a close range class since Ive been playing NL for literally years and I've been given a magical coin that lets me become a Db and yes i know SHAD is an option and ive gone down that road.... nope. Really like the DB playstyle but my question involves how well do they boss/mob compared to NL? Also just give me your personal opinions on the matter. Thanks a million!

Bossing: DB has 14 lines as opposed to NL's 8, and a higher potential for DPS. The damage rates are much lower on phantom blow and blade fury though, so it will take more funding to hit high (though you hit more lines). Asura definitely also gives a lead in damage. You also have flashbang (10% damage increase), chains of hell (for 3 seconds of invincibility after use), tornado spin (i-frame rush, dodges attacks fast), and advanced dark sight (attack while in DS, bonus damage). Mirrored target can also sometimes glitch bosses and freeze them, but other than that it activates shadow meld (100% crit). The only thing to note is you'll hit a lot higher on NL and cap sooner.

Mobbing: While people often mention linking skills as DB, it's honestly just too slow. You're better off with just flash jump and blade fury. Blade ascension is a huge plus when you want to reach the platform above you. On most maps however, mark of the assassin is far superior, and showdown's range can easily kill both sides of the player while blade fury has a very limited range. Or for instance, dark flare can be helpful with killing extra mobs or at gollux. NL is one of the top 3 mobbers in the game if you ask me.

If you prefer the DB style, definitely go for it. ^^

I personally prefer NLs though. It's ironic because I used to only play melee jobs (And back in my Page days I would haaaaate the Dexless Sin craze). Once upon a time I thought the job looked very boring, but after trying it, it's definitely not hard to see why a lot of players enjoy it.

Imo dbs are soo much more fun than nls purely cuz of the variety of skills you use + asura is so worth
Nls are so generic and common nowadays (probably similar to dbs but def not as much). Got bored of playing nls after hitting 150 the ONLY instance where nls are preferred over dbs imo is during gollux, since nls can easily clear out the bottom mobs compared to dbs.

Db is a better bosser, NL is a better mobber, if you don't have funds don't play Db, if you really want to still play db make a damn good katara, Db is imo more fun, NL is better to get more loot and exp, do not play db without funds, funds, funds, no funds = crap damage = no fun = Yay I can be really mobile but I'm weak as hell, funds, you use almost all Db skills, you use two nl skills, db, funds., , , , .

Bossing is the same, both are really good at it. In mobbing Nls definitely have an easier time but they just use that 1 skill. While Dbs mobbing is average enough to get the job done but they can link skills and have a bit more options + Asura is just amazing burst damage : ]
