Worried of being hacked Well you should be

Well, hello there, it's been a while since I have made a thread, but I saw many factual inaccuracies in the one by @LykeABoss:

He stated the following:
Ok, I've been seeing so many of these posts saying people got hacked and what ever. They claim they have done nothing, but that is impossible. Ask yourself this, How can one retreive someones username, password and pic through maple? It is impossilble. The only way they can do that is by hacking nexon them selves. There is no hack that gets all your info with just your IGN. Below are some ways to prevent yourself from being hacked.

1. Dont Share your info with anyone!.

People usually assume, its ok, he is my friend. Well yeah hes your friend, but in months or years, he/she may not be your friend anymore and may take your account. Also he/she may give your account info to their friends making lots of people have access to your account.

2. Dont go to stupid websites advertising Mesos sales or anything.

First of all when you enter a website they have your IP Adress. I have friends (hacker friends) that can do anything to you with just your IP. So, dont go to these untrustable websites. You never know what they will do to you.

3. Dont download dumb things.

This is an obvious one, but people tend to fall for it. Only download trustable things through the internet. Unknown applications may contain a virus which can extract your info.

These are just SOME of the simple things you can do to prevent your self from being hacked. Once again, you cant jsut hack through maple. You would have to be some high tech hacker and i mean like CRAZZZY hacker to do that.

Yup... GL
Well, even if you were to COMPLETELY abide by maple's Rules and ToS, you still can get hacked....

How?

Well, even if your internet connection is encrypted, it's only encrypted from your client to your router... From there onwards, EVERY single bit of info you click or type, on any nexon related site is visible to others, as they don't use HTTPS (encryption).
When you see the login page as "HTTP" that means, all your info is being sent via plaintext, instead of encrypted mumbo-jumbo.
Now, if you were to try and follow the route your connection to the nexon servers, you will notice many different points where your connection is re-routed.
Each of these connections can see everything you type, your username, your pass/PIC, your secret questions.

The problem lies in the fact that nexon, as a corporation, don't behave like a professional one, exposing millions of paying (NX) users to easily avoidable threats.

To use encryption doesn't set them back thousands of dollars, just, at maximum, a few hundred...

TLDR: Anyone, no matter how beefed up their account and computer security is, can be hacked, thanks to nexon's negligence...

Just my irritated rant

Yes you have, and so have I, but i couldn't find it
Not sure who the author was, but they had written it before.

(Found this later after i clicked submit)
Also, wanted to point out the MASSIVE numbers of factual inaccuracies in the "How to avoid getting hacked" guide, which has been stickied.

It really needs to be updated, as one just needs to take a peek in a hacking forum, and see that they have truly been innovative in newer and newer ways to ruin other people's Maple experience.

1. Remote hacking exists, just note that, as long as you have no illegal programs, you cannot be remote hacked.
2. You can get hacked no matter what extreme of security precaution you have set up.

A note to any moderators and people who are trigger happy to report.... I am in no way condoning the use of such above said forums, just saying that, hackers have indeed come up with more secret ways to hack people, dupe items and such.

@RedTape: For Heaven's sake, PLEASE update your guide, as it, in it's current state, is VERY misleading....
