Open advancing to f/p. what should i do
Hey all, Got a question for ya. I'm currently building up a f/p mage, but i'm starting as a i/l mage to increase training speed due to better mobbing.
I'm gonna open job advance to f/p later, but should I open advance to bishop first? mobbing on a bishop is alright and plus i get HS, and it may speed things up.
We get all our sp by lvl 140 and i dont mind waiting if it means i'll level up faster in the end

I want to go f/p on my i/l, because touch damage is awesome and yeah chain lightening is a bit awkward compared to reflection but the damage multiplier is higher, not to mention the effects with defense lowering and crit damage it has. it's really good, but at the same time, I'm not someone who can sit still very easily, hence my character list x.x
I don't think I could ever do bishop around people. I hate the way people try to boss bishops around and I hate how people assume classes aren't capable of working independently and being condescended. that's why I was an attack phantom even in the lhc days. fp makes me so curious though. heard it has really great dps
@dadude2140: Still, as much as job changing seems interesting I don't like it when people use it like this. I mean, people nowadays get to 200 in a few days, imo that's quick enough. But anyway, your choice.
the power of blue. that is all i have to say <3

I find chain lightning to be kind of awkward given its short range, which is the main problem.
Personally, I found FP to be faster training from 0-150, simply cause I gave it some decent starter gear I had, and when I went to drakes, I was just able to kill really well, and once I got mastery and viral slime (sorry, been a while since I was on my FP, can't quite remember all the names..) I could solo an entire drakes map pretty efficiently (Yay for jump tele + mastery)
I actually am intrigued by the DoT method of dealing damage and I'm willing to give it a shot
It will probably feel pretty sloppy until you get the hyper that removes CD on Mist eruption, after that you can enjoy the awesomeness of FH-ME spamming.
Imo, you should have just started as a F/P if you were planning on becoming one.
Actually it's faster to be an I/L mage first, because the mobbing is easier and so you level faster from 30-101. Most people who wish to build a bishop or a F/P mage are doing this to get over the boring levels quickly

In my experience I open advanced from an i/l at level 108 to a f/p. I was able to get to level 155 real quick. I would say go bishop if you just want to leech but if you want to train go with f/p.
