Which 2nd and 3rd job skill shouldnt get maxed?

I didn't max Heavy Weapons Mastery and Metal Fist Mastery. Refer to Mousepound's post for reason. I also prefer having to waste less mana for a rocket jump lol

I personally left Heavy Weapons Mastery at 2nd job and Metal Fist Mastery at 3rd job unmaxed.

Flame + Gatling are outdone most of the time by hammer, and Punch Launcher outranges and damages hammer later on.

What I did was mainly train with hammer + metal fist mastery in 2nd & 3rd (apparently at the time it had more power than the fist).
So I left Heavy Weapon Mastery and Punch Launcher.
But it doesn't matter too much what you max in 2nd and 3rd job since so many gets replaced in 4th job (except Siege and Dice). Just don't forget to max the essential skills like portal and Perfect Armor.

leave rocket punch (3rd) and the hammer (2nd) unfinished. both are totally useless skills

2nd: Atomic Hammer (or Heavy Weapon Mastery) *Doesn't matter too much, as both skills become obsolete
EDIT
or you can leave Rocket Booster at low level, as it does NOT increase it's vertical range with levels

3rd: Metal Fist Mastery (MFM)

2nd Job I wouldn't max Rocket Boost: It's for the jumpz not damage.
3rd Job I wouldn't max the mastery thing: Because you those extra damage boosts aren't needed, since you primarily use the FIST for 3rd job.
