Night Lord or Phantom? cant decide
So yeah i have about ~80bil after a month and a half or so merching and i wanna make a class (obv cant reach 2m) but wanna get close to it and work my way up slowly since i have no time to merch anymore...
so please no trolls and name the pros and cons, and your past experience if you played both or your current experience if you play one.
Also anyone here thats good at funding, if you can post a funding guide it will be neat! I.E. cube this, buy that etc etc...

+8 Scroll your cane and enhance it to 10 stars. Should be 300+ attack when it's finished
Wait till miracle time & cube all those items to 3L Legendary. Shouldn't cost too much considering new cubes are pretty cheap and theres even ones you can get from the red coin shop
Cube your Cane to 60% boss with 9% attack or total damage, the total damage / attack is a must.
^^Should take like 400k NX to do all of that if you cube wisely, like if you get a 12% or 15% line, just stop and move on to the next item.
Now your cape/belt/shoes.
Get nova, theyre only like 300m each clean.
5 star enhance them so you get 9x stat, 2x attack
and just get some % luk on them
^^should cost like 15b total for decently cubed / enhanced novas
^^Way cheaper than spending 45b on tyrants.
Rings:
Get (3) 18% luk rings, theyre only like 1.5 ~ 2b each. (4.5 ~ 6b)
Heart: get a 72 attack lidum for like 2.5b
Badge: Ghost Exorcist Badge, get to legendary during miracle time.
Card: buy a 60%+ boss, 9% total damage or 9% attack card <- 9% attack / 9% total is a must. ~ 6~7b
3% LUK Nebulite all of your equips, every single one of them
(over 15nebs, so like 4.5b)
25% boss neb your weapons:
~~ 2b
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All of these equips should give you a total of:
tons of boss damage: 260% boss, if you get dojo gloves, 285%, DS link skill (15%boss) ~ 300%boss total
a decent amount of % attack: 18% attack , get a kanna/DA to 120 and you'll get an extra 20% total from that
ignore DEF: 30%+ alone from the ra set, get a leafre character card set and you'll have 60%ignore, level a luminous to 120 and you'll have 75% which is pretty decent.
quite a lot of weapon attack, depending on how goodnesses go
a decent amount of % luk, you'll get over 40% from nebulites alone, probably over 200%+ total
and probably over 1m range buffed.
after adding up everything, it'd only take a bit more than 75b to get all of those equips and cube them to decent stats, cubing might be more or less though.

As MapleFlow said^, something a lot of people don't know is how good phantoms are in terms of survivability.
Iron body (1st job) and rage (second job) and cross surge (3rd job) all reduce damage taken. Also, if that's not enough you can switch to:
Magic guard (1st job) and dark clarity (second job)
Phantom right now have a really high DPS.
IMO I found phantom fun to train rather than Night Lord because NL's have low HP.
For phantom you have can many different skills that can boost your survivability.
But I haven't played NL in a while so I can't really say much.
With your funds, you could make a pretty sweet NL.

NL are the way to go. I have both, I love the new skills fo rNL. Beasting it out with the new ninja dope skills.
Make a phantom if your going to pour in lots of teh funding into it
Make a night lord if your gonna pour in some
I haven't been able to play the RED update but I have played both classes 160+ before. I can't say to much about NL other then I just really enjoy there gameplay style and stream of stars. I prefer phantom though because I can switch my play style whenever I want. Strict support class, buffed up atker, or even just steal one or a few skills that will benefit the party depending on what we are about to do. I can only imagine the have got even more funner since they can steal most of the adventures new skills they recently got. NL's revamp looks pretty cool but I got this feeling that Nightwalkers will have a better revamp idk why.
phantoms are pretty strong. if your phantom have 100% crit, i'm sure you can out dps a NL. with equal funding for both my class(using my tradeable thief set), my phantom can reach 250k buffed(roughly doing 700k crit with arrow platter) and my NL 180k buffed(1m/star)
