Dc vs Marvel

I feel like i'm the only one who loves dc movies/shows and isn't too much into marvel cuz 90% of people i know love marvel movies so much. I don't really get all the hype for them and don't find them very interesting. The only one's i actually liked was the first Iron Man and The Avengers. I feel that most of the their movies are just jokes and their not even serious (especially guardians of the galaxy). Like the villains aren't really evil and the characters are just messing around with them and everything is all fun & games. DC villains are so much more evil and you could never mess around with zod, ra's al ghul, bane, the joker, or deathstroke or else you'd be dead. That being said I feel that DC has a lot more darker tone to them and a lot more thrill and suspense (partly bcuz of the villains). You never know what's going to happen next or who's going to die. In Marvel movies Also DC has so many more moments that make you go "OMG WTFFF DID THAT REALLY HAPPEN" which are my favorite scenes, like in Arrow, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel. Like the the unexpected happens like things you never anticipated, you get what I mean? Like the rachel scene in the TDK, end of the TDKR, all the Arrow finales including mid-season (i don't want to spoil for anyone who hasn't seen them). In Marvel movies you know that nobody will die and the hero will save the day and everything will be all good at the end, nothing really suspenseful.

I'm not hating on Marvel in anyway I'm just wondering how other people feel about this so don't flame plz

EDIT: tldr: What do you like better DC or Marvel? I like DC but most people tell me that Marvel is way superior. (Movies/TV Shows)

when it comes to comics, i prefer marvel slightly over dc. imo i think that marvel has a greater number of events than dc.
(any dc fans please suggest to me your favorite dc events)
as for the movies, i'm not really a huge fan of either.
Ok I should've mentioned I'm only talking about everything from Batman Begins (2005) and beyond
I stick by what I said. Young Justice was both sometimes dark and also silly. Green Lantern(TAS) as well. Teen Titans (And Teen Titans Go) both very silly DC representations. I mean, the only real comparison where DC is more "dark" than Marvel is in the movies, and that's only because of the source material for the Batman movies, which isn't even a main story thread, and Man of Steel. Compared to the veritable treasure trove of movies that Marvel has been churning out? Yeah, the ratio of dark movies is technically higher for DC. But considering they've had a cinematic dry spell, that's not saying much.
I'm a huge DC fan. Especially of the Green Lanterns (Core and Jon Stewart). But between Iron Man 3, Winter Soldier and Thor 2. These are obviously very serious Superhero movies. (Which is the strength of the genre; the ability to rely on multiple genres within the superhero facade.)

And no, DC isn't really any less or more dark than Marvel. Each of them have their grimdark storylines. Especially considering DC has both a very serious show(Arrow) and a considerably more lighthearted one (Flash). Also, if you're going to invoke DC movies/shows, you should probably recognize that the original Batman shows were some of the most campy slapstick comedy episodes to ever exist. Not to mention the movies. (Jim Carrey as the Riddler? How serious could that be.)
well yes, Marvel does aim to be comedic when it wants to be and yes Christopher Nolan's batman had every intention of having a darker theme to it
