Half the number of episodes, but twice the length. And it's nothing close to a remake. No part of the series was actually changed. Just some very minor additions. Three monologues in the first episode. One by Makishima to open the episode, and two by Kougami later on. That's it.

There will be content that was not int he first psycho pass, but it's probably not any relevant content since that would change the plotline. So yeh.
All they added a couple of monologues from the characters. That's all it's probably going to be. But it's a nice refresher before the REAL season 2 comes out in the fall.

You didn't watch the second season of PP, you watched the remake/extended version of the original series.
