@star909: As far as I know Ayame was quite popular and it wasn't really a matter of getting scrapped as a job idea due to popularity. (Although there were rumours that it may be established based on popularity nothing was officially confirmed.)
I believe it's just part of plot development for the JMS sengoku classes and with this they made a theme dungeon like SAO and created a few skills for a time limited/event content.
@cocopuffs: I've only heard about it and i dont know enough japanese to find a source for it sorry. All i know is JMS tested out ayame through the princess no theme dungeon and JMS players werent a big fan of it so JMS decided to scrap the idea apparently. Although i think they considered doing more work, since its been a long time with no new news i would think its scrapped.
also if it didn't get made due to being poorly received, i have mixed feelings. more classes? we have a ton. more classes? something new to play with. xD
not too sure. i just saw this trailer and by the end of it, it said something about only being in jms. otherwise, im not too sure about the class, it looked pretty sick but the trailer didn't provide much detail on the class (other than it being in jms) you should probably google it

I'd definitely make an Ayame if it ever did become a real class in GMS.

@cocopuffs: considering how they havent even picked up on the Hayato or Kanna idea I have low hopes for that. But maybe JMS will pick up Ayame again.

we do still have the other resistance class coming out of kms at some point.

It never got made because it did poorly in testing (aka the princess no theme dungeon)
