Are you serious? Do you even know what cults are?
@shadow4son: Because I have a Basil Balloon.
I can't see it as a cult. Going to a Christian church, for many generations of people, has been a mainstream activity and not outside the social norm of society.
why do you have a basil balloon next to the button that I use to quote you?
Here you go brah
Is there something wrong with my edit?
No, but someone who seriously believes they're Batman would skip over it?
sorry
your previous comment made me question your intelligence.
Even if I were stupid enough to say I was Batman seriously, you think that's stupid enough to ignore your edit?
Christianity: Generally acknowledged by the general public as a legitimate religion even if many don't follow it.
Cult: Generally frowned upon by general population due to a few isolated "incidents".
Everything else is the same.
If you were wondering my comment was directed towards a few posters above; you included.
I'm aware of this.
I feel like you understand the word cult by it's connotation rather than it's actual meaning.
Cults are usually run by an individual leader who controls a set number of people into believing what he believes. Sometimes cults are even branches of other religions.
Christianity is an established religion in worship of a deity.
but yeah this is a very very vague compare and contrast. It really depends on what cult you want to compare Christianity with.
edit: Lol
inb4 preteen atheists thinking they are hard by believing a cult and Christianity are the same.
darn too late
I am Batman.
An angsty atheist of a Batman.
I can't see it as a cult. Going to a Christian church, for many generations of people, has been a mainstream activity and not outside the social norm of society.
A cult's buildings of worship are not federally exempt from taxes.
One is just smaller, I guess.
There isn't one.
Enjoy.
