Darks Money Making Guide

A lot of people have been asking for a guide on how to make mesos, so I thought why not give a bunch of difference methods that people could use in order to make money. It's a bit long by the way.

July 21st 2012 Money Making Guide

Well before I start this guide this isn't every possible way to make money, but a few good ones that I discovered are listed here. If you find more or know more free feel to comment.
This guide isn't going to be for those who have 1+ Billion mesos and so on because you guys are probably already pro merchers, but for those guys who are struggling to get to 100-300mil. I also recommend that you have a nx store (the 90 day one for 1,800 nx) if your going to attempt these, it's possible to do it without one but it is a lot more difficult.

The First Method is Bossing

In maple most Bosses give useless or unwanted drops, but there are a few bosses that can give some pretty good drops. Learning respawn times and which profitable items these bosses drop are crucial. I'd like to add this is not a low level way of making money since it does require some speed to kill the boss, I would recommend 70+ funded and 100+ unfunded for most of these.

A couple of Bosses that drop some good scrolls that you could sell are:

Snackbar in sleepywood dungeon 70+ funded 100+ unfunded
Drops: basically all weapon att 60% scrolls except a few the main ones being dagger att 60% and claw att 60% which you could sell for a few million
Strategy: You want be really effective and kill him asap I would say anywhere between 20-80 seconds is a good kill time. He doesn't always drop a scroll on kill but if your able to control all 19 channels you will probably get anywhere from 0-7 scrolls, the usual amount would be about 3-4. His respawn time is about 20-25 minutes.

Giant Centipede in mu lung 70+ funded 100+ unfunded
Drops: good bunch of 60% scrolls, but he has a few unwanted ones like Hp etc.
Strategy: He's simpler to kill than snackbar, but does a whole lot more damage. Best way to kill him is to just attack. Sorry I do not know his respawn time.

Grandpa Boss in showa 150+ with a group (if unfunded) 160+ funded solo

Drops: He drops VSS which are the real money they are like 5mil+ clean depending on your server.
Strategy: Try to lock both bodyguards in the corner, and keep attacking until they die. For the Grandpa don't get beaten by his 1/1 and bring lots of cure alls for the seal. He has 150mil hp so he'll die pretty quickly.

Then there is the big bosses such as zaks, horntail, pb, empress etc. For the bosses like zak and horntail you'll require a sok (scissors of karma) in order to sell the item and these cost nx. If your able to kill these bosses and effectively gain profit from them i suggest you continue to use these method (zak not so much but horntail yes).

There are a lot more bosses, but I'll let you discover some other ones.

ETC collecting

There are A LOT of ways to make some good mesos you just gotta find them.
The first will go to low to mid level players

After completing the Crimsonwood Forest Quest line you can actually trade in badges that various monsters drop some of the rewards are mesos, weapons, scrolls and more. The first thing people may say is this is impossible to do now due to Bigger Ben being broken, but if your able to pink zak you can actually use that teleport rock to enter Big Ben and complete Subani's Legacy. Be warned the monsters levels have been increased upto 95.
Once you collected enough badges from Windraiders, Firebrands, Stormbreakers, and Nightshadows use those to trade in for mesos, scrolls and various equips you could use or sell. I'd Recommend Windraiders for the lower levels since 1 million mesos is an often drop and night shadows to the higher levels. Also if your patient enough you could collect 25 of each badge and trade them all in for 3.5 million mesos.

Collecting ETC items that have an actual value is another way to make good money, if you like mining you could collect ingredients for popular items *hint hint* Dark Angelic Ring blessings at the moment.

You could also kill monsters for ETC items that are always going to be high in demand, most of these monsters are 120+

Miner Zombies

Remember the third Zak Prequest, guess what people can be lazy would be willing to buy those gold teeth. One gold tooth can sell from 100k (usually) up to 200k (hard to sell) now looking at that you may think that's not a lot, but when it starts to add up you could be making millions. I usually farm a few hundred of these teeth to make a nice profit. It may be time consuming so I'd recommend to collect teeth in intervals such as I'll collect 50-100 now then I might go zak for a break then collect another 50-100.

1= 100k-200k 10= 1mil-2mil 100= 10mil-20mil 1000= 100mil-200mil

If you like training at the ToT then Pieces of Time although rare could be a decent source of money for you, I wouldn't recommend this, but some people have preferences.

An extra onto this, if you're good at the Zak Jump quest and are willing to put in a little extra work for some extra profit. You can make Eyes of Fire, they're always in demand since people are consistently zaking meaning they will eventually need more. For low levels it's still possible to do this, but you would need to buy the teeth. After you hand in the ingredients you get 5 Eyes of fire which are worth around 3-4mil each. Considering that 30 teeth are only 3mil-6mil that's still a profit.

Take advantage of Events

Taking advantage of events is a big yes, some people have profited billions just from putting in the extra hard work. You just gotta know whats going to be in demand when the time comes. A good example would be this renegade event I wasnt able to take advantage of it myself since i came right in the middle of it, but that doesn't matter. When phantoms first came out their equips and mastery books were highly expensive also luk % items went up in price as well. Using pink zak and the renegade events it was easy to get phantom mastery books and equips which could of been sold for 100mil+. The pink zak chair when pink zak was first introduced sold for quite a bit of mesos itself nowadays if you wait long enough you could buy one for maybe 1-4mil in the fm.

Merching

Alright you guys probably read 200 merching guides by this point, but who knows maybe the way I explain things could make a difference. Most of you know the point of merchanting is buying low and selling high, but for those who are trying to make a quick profit everyday. I'd recommend buying low and selling mid, the best way i could explain this would be to lead by example. Lets say scroll x that is really popular is around 5-9 million meso, try to buy for 5-6 million and instead of selling for 9mil try selling it for 8 to 8.5 million. Most people will depend on the pros who dont care about spending an extra 1-2mil for an item since they have billions worth. But for the other 70% of maple trying to save 1-2mil is a big deal. Now the best way to buy and sell would be buying a select few items such as stars, scrolls like gfa 60%, att wgs, ws, chaos scrolls, wep att 60% scrolls, AEEs, and more. Knowing the general price of items in youe world is a big plus since it allows you to get good deals when you spot them. The other day i was able to buy a chaos scroll for 9mil and resell it for 20mil, the person who was selling was unsure of the price and sold it for cheap. When buying items always be polite starting off with a simple hello may lead to a 1 million meso discount. Also try to get the other person to offer you never know when their asking price might be really cheap or considerably reasonable. I too personally thought it was impossible for me merch, but after getting hacked and coming back i found the determination to merch. That reminds me when merchanting a lot of people are impatient and tend to quit, being patient is the key to being a successful merchant. Being patient allows one to prevent themselves from making careless mistakes, a great example would be panicking since an item isn't selling and then selling for lower or worst selling for under your buying point.

Under level 30

These are common well known ways, such as craft work gloves and sell for 200-500k in the fm, or gather raw materials. Accessory Craft would be an excellent way to make money plus you could use it to create equips for yourself if your unfunded. I would recommend searching up an accessory craft guide and learning what you need to do from there.

If you liked my guide please leave a comment if enough people ask I'll extend the guide with more information and methods (if I can find some). So good luck and have fun making millions of mesos, I personally made over 1 billion so far using all of these methods so if I can do you can do it too!
Try headers? Make it look like it's chopped into smaller pieces so people don't go "Oh look a guid- HOLY WALL OF TEXT".
When my friend asked me to type this out it was around 4am in the morning, I also used my cellphone to type it so headers wouldn't be possible the actual Word Document was much more organized sorry about that. I tried spacing it out a bit hopefully it won't make it look so bad.
