As usual, Tespia is sub-par.

As the title says, (the last time Tespia was out, and now again) Tespia is sub-par AT BEST. And I'll tell you why.

First of all, the only reason why Tespia was a success the first time around was because they did character copy. That means, before Tespia opened, if you sent in a ticket with your character information (they double checked, so you couldn't lie about it) to Nexon in a special Tespia Ticket thing, they'd put your character from GMS straight into Tespia with all of it's equips exactly as it was in GMS (minus Nx equips, idk why they do that). This was the only Tespia where that was completely unnecessary, because there were no class changes in the VPQ patch. But the last two patches, where we wanted to test OUR OWN characters with the NEW changes, they give us a leveling system instead of character copy.

"What's wrong with a leveling system? Instant 200? Stop complaining!"

If you truly need me to explain to you what's wrong with this, continue reading. Otherwise, you're basically free to go.

What's wrong with this leveling system they gave us is our ranges are crap. The only people that are going to sit there and click +str over 700 times because they want to be the strongest people in Tespia, are the people that don't care about the changes to the classes, they're just bored of GMS. Which means we click the auto button. This puts a bunch of stats into a stat we don't need, lowering our range to begin with. That being said, we also only have full reverse sets. This means (as I stated before) our ranges are jokes compared to our ranges in GMS (if you don't understand why you might as well just quit). So we think, "whatever.. I'll just test it like this," but when we go to test the new skills and try to compare the changes to GMS to see what was a positive vs. a negative change, WE CAN'T BECAUSE WE HAVE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT NUMBERS IN THE DAMAGE CALCULATIONS..

So then I thought, "I'll just auto level to 200 via. Cody, and my range should be about what my DrKs range is now with all that extra AP."
WRONG.
This time around in Tespia, YOU CAN ONLY GET TO 130 VIA CODY! THIS MEANS EVERYONE'S RANGE IS CRAP! Not only that but if you have a character over 130 in GMS, and you want to test in Tespia so you can get an idea of what your character will be like after Ascension, TOO EFFING BAD!

GG Nexon. GG. Your test servers are jokes. Why do you even open Tespia. There's seriously no point. I'm certain they only do it so they can look like they give half a crap about extensive testing before huge patches.
Everyone can stop asking for Tespia accounts now. I learned more about Ascension reading online than I did actually playing in it. Just a waste of time, and space on your hard drive.
I didn't ask to be in Tespia, neither would I care if I wasn't in it. They're going to give me access to the server? I'm going to do what I want on it.

..Why?
Because I can and it's free.
Then you really have no right to complain, or criticize now, do you?
I thought I should point this out:

Tespia is a test server, designed so dedicated users can find bugs in the patch. Not so that you can test your 204atk PSB with 999% potential, cause that doesn't help the scripters.
This, this, this. And then people complain that the game is so buggy. Why do you think it's so buggy? Because they're recycling the same crappy testers who don't bother to do a decent job and submit a single glitch.

i think you're being too picky. the purpose of tespia isnt to see how much stronger you'll become. its to find any problems with the upcoming patch and report them so they can be resolved. instant leveling is simply to help people become the appropraite levels so that they can thoroughly test the events and new content. it's true that the meathod of reporting issues is a bit confusing to those who don't know which bit system they use or their graphic cards. however, most of thetime that doesn't even matter for the glitch or bug that is being reported. so instead of raging about your range, just be happy to have a chance to see new content before most others and report anything you find wrong so those problems wont appear in the main game.
I'm slightly annoyed your second guessing my intelligence and ability to comprehend, so let me analyse what has been said.

Ackar, let me summaries how I interpretted the contention, since you believe I am unable to do so.

The OP, Zen has two major contentions for this piece:
1. That the Tespia system has been poorly thought out, that we should be able to transfer characters and have a better point distribution system. (Highlighted in italics).
2. That the point of Tespia is so what we can compare damage ranges before and after. (Highlighted in bold)

Point One is a valid and constructive criticism. It may or may not be true, I do not have an account in Tespia so I can not say for sure. If allowing players to transfer characters and properly distribute would assist the testing process, then perhaps that is an issue which should be addressed. But that's beside my point.

Point Two however suggests that the poor stats and difference in equipment to the actual GMS server does not allow for a realistic comparison of damage. Which is true. But, that is not the point of Tespia. Your not supposed to be making calculations on which class is now the Top of the DPS chart, your not supposed to be checking how much your own character has improved or been nerfed. As we've seen with most skill changes from Korea, all stuff in Tespia is more or less implemented without any change. The point of Tespia is to look for bugs; to find whether the new event has any loopholes or problems, to find whether using particular new skills or entering new maps has any crashes or problems.

If you still believe I'm for some reason misled or disagreeable, Ackar, send me a PM and we can continue discussion over there, I'm sure basil and the OP doesn't want irrelevant and offtopic debate.
you know what pissed me in tespia? the level cap, for the simple reason that it didn't allow you to put enough SP in all your skills, THAT is a reason to be mad, not the fact that OMG GG I HIT LESS DMG.

i went, fused myself some nice gear on my 190 pally, and guess what, found a few glitches doing so. OP should try to test bugs instead of trying to be the very best.

PD: some guys defeated HT in tespia, LOOL

What about testing bugs with the skills?

Tespia is to test a patch update and see if there are bugs or glitches. This isnt a new gms here. Be grateful that you can join tespia and stop whinning.
You can still do that. It just takes a bit more time.

OT: I would have loved character copy or at least level 150 so we could test more skills at max level.
I think the reason that OP was complaining about range was because parties that i was usually in for monster park usually could not finish in time because our ranges sucked.
...that sucks. -__-.

Same. One of the bugs i found was in the potential system saying that you could get 50% hp and 100% mp o_o... also it said that i got 8% dex (on one line in a level 26 shoe).. So yeah i found that this time around, tespia was helpful. I just wished that they kept the level thing at 200 for the sake of being able to test the new skills that need to be maxed out (4th job). Also, I found it pretty difficult to try out the new pq's at level 130.

@battleox288: I know you're not saying that everyone abuses the max stats and hp/mp;
But I personally find it easier to test thing as I can focus more on the content than my hp and mp but that's just me

@bryanlatorre: I did the same with my marksman because it didn't allow me to apply my SP
Stupid thing is I thought something was wrong, so I deleted her
