CPQ Scam (Please read, guys.)
***[b]Edit:[/b] Members of tokidoki were kind enough to deal with this player in their guild who was causing problems. To all of you still reading this thread, I appreciate your overall willingness to help out, but KSing/harassing the guild's not what I want.
I haven't played Maple in a while, so I'm quite new to recent CPQing and such.
Today I planned to level one of my mule characters of for fun, and decided to CPQ. I go in and join up with this I/L Mage who offers me free wins. I figured that hey, she seems to be nice and I've seen her guild tokidoki around before; you don't see too many decent players around in Broa anymore, or so I remember. We CC to channel 16 then she tells me to "wait for her friend". No problem.
So we sit there for a while. When she comes back she asks me to drop my Balrog chair (which I got as a gift, so it has mostly sentimental value) to see "how it would look on the ground". This was my stupid move: I trusted her. I figured hey, there's no way for her to snake me in here anyways - I'll entertain her while we wait. What's the risk of dropping it? CPQ scams aren't as they once were. But alas: right after I drop, she ports us to another map then back, then proceeds to steal the chair. Not a big loss, but I was semi-shocked that she would actually go through with it.

So yeah. That's my story. These kind of people are why I quit in the first place.
[b]TLDR:[/b] I got scammed out of a Balrog chair during CPQ and I'm warning all of you. Don't be as trusting as I am in-game, guys. I'm losing faith in the community.
Moral of the story: If anything let this thread serve as a warning that these kinds of things are still happening. If you've got something valuable to you don't let a jerk talk you into letting go of it.

A few of your members have contacted me already saying she was kicked, which is good. I apologize if this thread took your guild down a few notches but it was necessary at the time, as I had no way of contacting any of your members directly after the incident - save for one of them posting in this thread. From what I've seen over the past day, you legit members are a kind group of people. I'm not opposed to your guild in any way so yeah; hopefully you won't have to deal with scammers trying to ruin your rep. in the future.
I'd planned on closing the thread after the last few posts went through anyways. So that's what I'll do now~
Watch out for any types of scams, guys. Thanks for your input on the thread and I'm grateful for everyone that's PM'd me about this whole fiasco.

also @everyone jedimindz is not a scammer i've done numerous trades with him for nx/etc and everything has always gone smoothly

I agree, it would make things like this faster for a guild to hear about so that they can respond faster. I am honestly suprised that no one in game has informed me about this until now o-0;

Once again guys, I appreciate the fact that you're all concerned about this kind of thing, but in no way am I implying that you should direct it on other members of the guild. If you see someone else being scammed, report the scammer and back up your claims just in case. This was meant as an informational post to general players warning them that this kind of thing still happens and has the potential to ruin someone's time on the game.
TOKIDOKI IS LEGIT SHE IS NO LONGER IN IT SHE WAS KICKED. Tokidoki does its best to keep pple like her OUT but sometimes, just like with any other guild, pple slip in. I am one of the people in charge so if anyone sees one of our members breaking rules please contact me on here or via in game. ign Alaeseos.
I would also ask that you please do not ks our members due to this. That girl has been kicked the moment we heard about it and we will keep monitoring our members more than we would before. tokidoki has quite a good reputation among Broa so if you hear or see anything suspicious please do contact me or any other member within the game. I also ask that if you do witness something PLEASE TAKE A SCREENSHOT to use against them because it makes the process of investigating easier on us. (yes, we do a lil detective work if theirs no evidence.) We usually hang out around Free Market on channel 7 but if you cant find any of us, just ask around ch7 fm and ch9 fm, there are usually people in those areas that can point you in our direction.
Again, as someone in charge I am deeply sorry that we did not catch her sooner before you lost your chair but we have kicked her and will be more careful of who we choose to add to the guild. The guild is mostly for close friends who are more like a family than anything but occasionally we let in people who ask to join and she was one of them.
Thank you for everyone who has informed us in game but please do not blame the entire guild for one persons actions. KSing us for letting her slip through seems illogical at this point and we deeply regret not catching it sooner.

Wow, I'm surprised to see this is still going. o: Hopefully this kind of thing raises awareness. To all who got scammed in the past as well, I'm sorry for your losses. It takes a moment of forgetfulness to fall into these kinds of traps. Stupid move on my part, aha.
I'd also advise against KSing the guild, guys. One bad member doesn't mean the whole guild is the same, it just means someone slipped through the cracks to muck-up an otherwise legit group of people. I've been messaged by a couple people from tokidoki and they all seem very kind.
well...I've gotten that same scamm to but its involves 3 peaople you,scammer and hidden scammer you party you drop a cool item then the scammer (Is ALWAYS party leader) goes into a cpq room then when you come out your item is gone (it was the hidden sacmmer) *It likes to hide behind spinglemen so... BE CAREFULL AND WATCH OUT!

Scammers are everywhere in this game nowadays. I got scammed in 2007 when ilbies were 100mil+ each. Ever since then i don't trust anyone when they ask for something.
Lol i got scammed 3k nx cash today, trusted a lying guildie who said if i karm his helm, i'll get it for free.
Well I feel your pain of getting scammed but just be more cautious in what you are doing

I usually try not to judge people in such way but sometimes you just gota put up a barrier or else you'll end up getting hurt by others.
But hey don't lose hope, there are many good players with a good heart out there ^^ I managed to meet a couple (and this is coming from a Scanian) and I'm grateful.

drop scams are the stupidest scam systems out there. it requires you to put yourself in obviously danger of being scammed and ofcourse, you do eventually get scammed most of the times.
scams like "click tab tab space enter really fast" are pretty smart... unlegit but you have to admit, they are totally brilliant.
i cant believe people still fall for scams like "ill take it, but ill give it back right away."

Whoa same thing happened to me, but it was a maple claw. She told me to wait for her friend and told me to drop the claw, I drop it but I got it before she did =D
