Any interest in a winter break Pokemon tournament?
Hi everybody,
So this is the first game where IV breeding and EV training and all of that is actually bearable, which means more of us have joined the competitive battling "community."
I know there's already a tournament going on, and I don't want to overrun it, but it started up pretty fast and many of us weren't nearly as ready as we would've liked.
My question is, would people be interested in a tournament during the general winter break period next month? It would operate as a singles tournament and I can use an [b]online tournament ladder[/b] so we can all see how we're doing and who we may be up against next, things like that.
The main reason I want to host a tournament is because I truthfully don't enjoy the 3v3 matchups very often, and many passerby people ignore or refuse a challenge. So it'd be nice to have a tournament where you are paired up for battles.
We'll have to discuss a few rules if there's enough interest, so let's first see if many are interested in a tournament over winter break.

That could work as well. I'd be happier playing on the game, but that's preference and we'll have to see the majority's opinion.
If we use an online thing, maybe pokemon showdown would be the best, since it doesn't have to be downloaded

Yeah I like cartridges better but for the sake of organization and efficiency online pokemon far exceeds that of cartridges.
Why dont we just use smogon or pokemon online. Its easy and you dont have to physically build the team?
