Basil deletes inactive accounts,Any chance to be recovered?
Hey I just wanted to know if basil can recover old accounts? Because I had a pretty old basil account and now it's just completely gone o.o. I also noticed that all my old friends basil accounts from 6-8 years ago have also disappeared. Anyone experience the same thing? If so, did you recover it or did you just have to accept the fact and make a new account. I'm guessing it's gone forever considering I was able to readd my character's avatar to the player list of this new account :c Sucks not being able to see mine and my past friends old characters from back in the day because basil deletes them for inactivity.It would be really cool having an account again that displayed how long I've been on the forum so is there way to recover it?

@dropgamer: I'm not that active. I'm only here because I heard that 5th job was coming out and I figured it might pick up again. But really, I'm kind of tired of the "I've been here, so I'm better" crap.

I created a basil account around 2006 when basil was the center of the maplestory market and used the forum for 4 more years after that as an active user on the forum through, when you could say, the forum was already declining. I was hoping perhaps to log back on after a long break to find out the forum had completely changed and all old posts and history had been completely wiped from the forum. I wouldn't say I came back because the site "be-poppin again-, ask any old basil members and they'll tell you the forum is no way near what it was before at its peak. The reason I came back to basilmarket was to become an active member of the forum again like I was for several years. I do agree this does not require an old account but I do hate that everything that we old players did back then and accomplished on basil has been totally erased. I honestly think it would've been cool for new players to be able to go back to old posts from back in the day and see how maple was before just like how I used to look at the old posts from basil and other forums. Either way, it's a new forum and yes I don't need a new account to post new crap. I'm not totally bought on the loyalty thing, it would be like Nexon taking away my mark of beta, or deleting your whole maplestory account because you hadn't logged on for a couple of years of inactivity, which is the literal case of what just happened to me on this forum. Even when you aren't logged on something for awhile, it doesn't mean you've stopped caring about it, nor do you deserve a harsh punishment.

I was active for several years on basil from 2006-2010. Obviously that is not as long as you but requiring that would be ethnocentric and elitist in itself. Recovering my account has nothing to do with a selfish mindset, I don't know how that makes any sense. I just wanted my old account for my own personal nostalgia and recognition, not so much to feel superior over anyone else on this forum.

@windowlegs: Oh my, I would love for pvp to return. I was actually a considered contender for the cross server pvp a few years back. If it does come back, hit me up and I'll take you on. It should be fun.

Example: It's like saying that you have been here for 3000 days while you have been gone for 90% of the time.
It doesn't mean much then, they are just numbers.
I had my account deleted too for being inactive years ago. I thought I was banned so I messaged MrBasil and he told me the inactivity was the reason. He told me to make a new account.
Then I just used this site without an account for a while until I made a new account some day.
