Where has the maple community gone to?

I'm not going to name names or bash on anyone because that is attacking and I don't like attacking anyone unless really necessarily. Warning, kind of long story.
Today I log on Maple, on my hero and I pass by someone talking about warriors, He was saying that DKs and arans are better, and I state my opinion saying I prefer heros over DKs and how I believe they're stronger and more fun, but that is only my opinion, then he begins bashing on me on how DKs are better. I told him there was going to be a revamp soon or reorganization that would make heros attack 5 times replacing Intrepid Slash. He quickly called me a noob and began cussing at me for no reason whatsoever, he told me he would know way better than me because he was a "mercher" and began droping f*** bombs on me. I didn't say anything offensive at all and he kept on going I just told him I wouldn't want to talk to him anymore and kept going on me for no reason and told him to show my equips and go on my 200 aran, since he thought I was lying. Well for the pleasure of doing what he asked me to do, I went on my aran and then he began bashing on me for no reason and told him me to show my equips, I denied because my mains equips are mostly the empress equips and rising sun and because he wouldn't stop on cussing at me for no reason even after I did what he asked me to do. I just left and then someone I met long before began bashing on me too that was on the same map(Henesys area), I didn't even talk to the guy and he begins trying to "hurt?" me, calling me ugly for I don't know what reason. This guy about a year ago tricked me into giving him my stuff and I did because he went on a friend's character and took the items, since I trusted my friend a lot and she didn't seem to be the person to share account information, I was wrong. After he did that I told him to give me my items back, saying please of course, then he said not, I was pretty mad, but nothing I could do about it except get the items back by buying them again(about 3b worth, 2 items) I saw him again later on and I told him he could keep the equips and I wasn't mad or cared anymore, then I walked away and then today I see him again and that happened he kept bashing on me for no reason and I don't talk to him and this happens often now. With more than these two people, even with random people. I have no idea what is wrong with people that play maple these days. It's a game. I don't know why some people take this game too seriously sometimes, everyone to their tastes I guess. I've seen the community go downhill some time ago already, but seriously. I don't mean to offend anyone.

What happened to the play for fun part of a game?
What happened to the morals people are supposed to keep? Just toss them to the trash because it's just a game and scamming or whatever won't hurt you?
What happened to the Maple community?

Rather irrelevant, but feeling kinda happy (while I was reading through this thread) that there are people that still try to be as nice as possible for the sake of being nice. Lf>people that are like that

@Edwinight: Young one. There are many people who are stupid and do such things. Use what I have taught you and defeat them. Always remember that the mind is stronger than the hand oh young one.

But I believe one must not attack unless really necessarily, master.

@Meiru: Yes, this is what I meant.

@MoarMilkPls: Need more people like you, this is something I also do once in a while, glad there's more than me

"Fun" is a subjective term. To some, insulting others could be considered as "fun." Anyone can throw Maple Morals away whenever they like. It's just their decision to be that kind of person. It's the internet, of course some people are going to be idiots. The Maple Community I remember a few years back still had these kinds of people you are dealing with now. But of course the Maple community has deteriorated over time with everyone caring about how much damage they do, not to mention all of the scammers, hackers, and trolls.

Looks like you ran into quite a few bad eggs, but you shouldn't think the rest of the community is like that.
Don't really know what to say except that if you knew me, I would never do that type of bs.

Society and youth culture are most likely to blame. As time moves on, bad parenting and outside effects like school greatly impact in the shaping of children to fit into today's norm. Previous centuries were probably more strict with what was acceptable, but with the freedom people have today it is difficult to control a large population. Of course, attitude is also carried into video games and reflects how an individual would treat people in real life. It's really disappointing how people are acting towards each other now.

However, there still is a number of people who are much more polite than others. They are just difficult to find, I suppose.

The closest thing I can remember from my experiences which relate to yours was when someone picked up my lvl 35 shoe off the ground while I was comparing which had the best stats (full inventory at the time). They weren't even a mage and demanded that I help them before I could get it back.
Another time someone asked for money to buy equips. I politely told them that I was saving it and went to the effort to research what monsters drop the armour. Got the silent treatment through most of the conversation and I possibly got called "mean". o.o I just hope it wasn't because I was playing my demon...
there are good and bad ppl
for me i only saw a few bad ppl, which i ignored them, most of the others are nice
so just stay positive and ignore those ppl
I find it hard to do this when a lot of people I meet are like this that play maple, but I guess anything is possible and going the "loner" road in a game isn't that much of a bad idea, I would just stick to my few friends I have in my BL and my RL friends that play also.

@Crystalrawr: I see what you mean, but I see it in a way how more people play MS the ratio between "good" and "bad" has grown a little bigger on the "bad" side but then again maybe I'm just unlucky and come upon these people

@Rygneiko: I would switch servers but I don't like starting over and some of my RL friends play Windia, and I'm afraid to find the same type of people there because I haven't actually been on other servers, might actually do that someday.

@SaderN: I have seen it recently that 2x and 3x events bring the worse of people because people let go of their morals and Ks because they got nothing to lose, that's how I see it.
If its any consolation, DrKs "suck" in terms of their %damage and their defense, this coming from a paladin.
Also there's no point in blaming the maple community, regardless of who or what a community is centered around, there will ALWAYS be people who RUIN it for others. When this game came out there were butt-hats, and until the day it shuts down there will still be butt hats.

As for losing your equips, sorry but personally i never hand my stuff to other people, and when people ask me to xfer stuff for them i always ask them to ask me a
question that ONLY i would know. E.g. "Hey poet what was the name of your close buddy who quit for combat arms 2years ago?"

Also the play for fun part of the game still exists, i actually PLAY for fun in my lvl 0 gear and like anything on the internet, morals are things that are often thrown out the window.
I wasn't talking about the maple community as a whole but part of it and how it's getting worse with more people like this, maybe it's just my bad luck when I walk my own path that I come upon these kind of people but I see what you mean.
