Back on maple. Buccaneer, or no?
Hello everyone, I just re downloaded maplestory after a long break. Sadly I forgot my account info I used for my main account so I had to create a new one. decided why not do a fresh start in reboot.
Anyways, I created the Ark class for tera burning. I usually only play mages, but decided to give this one a shot. As im playing the class it makes me miss my Buccaneer I had when they first came out which ended up being my very frst 3rd job character before switching to mages.
My question is, for starting fresh, should I continue the Ark. or should I delete it and remake my bucc. how good are they after the revamp. I just think buccs were always an interesting class and the dragon spike looked cool.
any thoughts/advice. thanks in advance.

what about thunder breaker or shade?
as is the case with most of the recently-released classes, Ark is very well-balanced in all aspects with no real weaknesses to speak of. good base damage that scales well into lategame, good bossing with an innate bind and two iframes, great mobbing, great mobility. only real downside to Ark is that it's a class commonly used by hackers, so there's a higher likelihood of disconnections and false bans (not sure how prevalent this is nowadays but it certainly used to be an issue). if you find it fun to play then I strongly recommend sticking with it
Buccaneer is kind of the opposite: before 5th job, Bucc is arguably one of the most clunky and underwhelming classes in the game. horrendous movement, average-at-best damage, mediocre mobbing. however once you get your 5th job skills and start maxing your boost nodes/getting stronger gear, Bucc suddenly finds itself among the strongest classes around. mobbing is child's play, movement gets way better, and the consistent overwhelming damage output makes up for its lack of burst skills. if you're willing to put in the time to overcome the painfully slow start then Bucc will reward you in spades
