Making Nl or Nw

Hey guys, so as many of you know, NW's will be getting a revamp in an upcoming patch (according to threads, maybe late october-december). I've recently started developing a strong interest in NL's and my question is, how much stronger will NW's become when they get revamped. Seems like most ppl agree that NW's will end up stronger than NL's, but just on watching videos of what the NW revamp looks like, something erks me about their playstyle, and I would much rather make an NL simply cuz they look more fun. At the same time tho, I dont want to invest all that time and money on an NL if they are going to be incomparable to the NW's and simply become obsolete.
How much stronger will NW's be than NL's?
Is it even worth making an NL now or will they simply become obsolete once NW's get revamped?
And in terms of funding, how much do you think it would require to get at least a 100k range on an NL?

Make a NL. You said it yourself that you think it will be more fun. And you know that NW are going to be nerfed anyhow, its already on Orange Mushroom. So if you were looking for damage you would have good damage for about 3 months and then nerfed (though I don't know how much). NL on the other hand aren't going to be nerfed. We aren't strong enough to need a nerf, but we are still super awesome. In fact, NL will need a buff soon the way Nexon is buffing other classes, so if it comes we would be comparable to NW anyhow. That plus you get stuck with NW. If you decide you really don't like it too bad. But if you make a NL and don't like it you can always change to shadower or DB. I think hands down NL is the better choice just because of those reasons.

@Serenacle: The problem with bats is the delayed attack and how much certain maps affect the skill. It wouldn't be much of an issue if Stardust wasn't such a weak attack. With NW, you can't just throw one attack and flash jump to quickly clear mobs unless you can one shot with Stardust. NL, on the other hand, can consistently kill mobs in one hit with much less funding.

that is actually not true, nw's mobbing ablilties are pretty good. The bats bonces off targets and even to
different platforms. They even had to nerf the bats because the mobbing was too good.

I'd only make a NL to transfer NX stuff around lol. Otherwise seriously NW outclasses NL in pretty much everything...

I think a few times in that paragraph you accidentally replace 'NW' with 'NL' because otherwise some of that doesn't make sense. NW is the one with the upcoming revamp.

Just to give you some comparison here though (using 4th job numbers and not counting SP)
[b]NL[/b]: 1512% damage per Quad throw (378x4), 1890% with the hyper that adds one more hit.
Mark of Night Lord - 60% chance to leave a mark on a monster. mark causes star to shoot out and hit up to 4 nearby monster for 60% + 3% per character level (so at 200 it matches the damage of nw's bats and 201+ it beats it. no healing tho)
Four Seasons (hyper ulti) - 2506% (358x7) on up to 15 monsters

[b]NW[/b]: 1900% damage per Quintuple throw (360x4+460x1).
Shadow Bats - summon up to 5 shadow bats that stay out for 60 secs each and have a 45% chance to attack when you hit something, dealing 640% damage and bouncing on up to 8 nearby enemies and heals you for 15% of the damage dealt.
Dominion (hyper ulti) - 10,000% (1,000x10) on up to 15 monsters. For next 30 seconds create max marks of darkness stacks, crit rate and chance to summon bats become 100%, and damage increased by 20%

And speaking of marks of darkness, Max(orange mushroom) must have described this skill wrong, because otherwise it's extremely OP. 35% chance to add a mark of darkness to an enemy, up to 5 marks per enemy, extra 220% dmg to the enemy per mark, 7% pdr per mark, and each mark lasts 5 seconds. So if you're hitting a boss fast enough to keep 5 marks on it, you're doing 1100% more per hit

If you make a NW, it'll pretty much only be for bossing. Their mobbing is pretty bad compared to NL. The classes have very similar skills, but NW completely outclasses NL in 1v1 damage, and has a bind, and has 50% ignore resistances.
