Scenario: You like these two people. They both like you. They are basically the same in intelligence, athleticism, beauty, and in their personalities. But, they have one difference. One is less popular than the other one. Who would you pick? (Inb4 threesome)

casual dating, titles are stupid.
If you're insecure about yourself, pick the less popular one.
Popularity means nothing to me, however... it would depend on why this "apparently" near-identical person is much less liked by others (and vice versa).
If I date the popular chick I'd look cooler.
I'd assume the less popular one to be more loyal. So that's who I'd choose.

popularity doesn't matter in high school (but is great for networking and finding jobs.) other than that, it's whatever.
to be honest, i'd just go with the one i really really like. which would be whoever is among the two.
