Yeah I checked wolfram alpha already but it gave out an even weirder answer. Possibly there's an easier way to do it? Or at least a decent method

@bloodIsShed: hypergeometric function? that doesn't even make sense

((1^(n-1))+(1^(n-2))+...+ 1^ (n-n) + 2)/(1-x^n)
you're adding a bunch of 1's n times (1^anything = 1), so
(n + 2)/(1-x^n)
