Question About 2 Lines Of Percent Boss Damage
At the moment i have a 3 line unique weapon with 20% boss dmg being the on the first line, the other two aren't so good. Im aiming to go for 2 lines of boss damage, so my question is... Should i get the cube package with potential lock and lock the 20% for the first 10 cubes while trying to get 30% ? Or... should i use 25 cubes trying to get 30% then lock that and try for 20% ? I guess it depends if 30% is harrder to get, im not sure if there even if 30% is harder to get, or if it is the same chance. With that said, since im going for 2 lines of boss, should i consider going for legendary, only problem being is there are no pot locks with the legendary package, and i might not even get it to legendary... hmmm ?

didn't take me much cubes to land 60% boss on my unique dagger less than 20 for sure.

It does not.
How many cubes left? You may have to keep that pot until you get more cubes.

40 is a decent amount. The faster you get legendary, the better your chances are. If you're left with around 15-20ish cubes after getting legendary, you're pretty safe.
If you want a (near) perfect potential, you may need way more cubes.

The two lines underneath the first are based on the tier below your item's current potential tier (if item is unique then last two lines are epic, etc). There is a slight chance the other two lines are the same tier or higher. VERY small chance though. Not worth the time/money. This is why I don't like locking. It doesn't go up to legendary.
%boss comes out on unique (first line) or legendary potentials 99.99999% of the time.
Remember those enlightening cubes? They increase the chance of giving you the same or higher tier lines on your 2nd/3rd potential lines.
If you're able to get it to legendary, the boss damage lines pop up fairly often vs unique weapons so 2 lines of boss damage will be a lot easier. Though how many cubes before it turns legendary is the problem.

that's when you hope to get some sort of combination of %pdr (if you don't have 100%) and %dmg (total or boss, they add up regardless) then cube something else for lulz (I did this and got 15% luk on my scar )

definitely lock the 20%, it will take you a lot of cubes and a lot of luck to get 30% boss. If you want to test your luck do the first option, and when you are done, you will realize this(if you didn't get lucky): "wow, why did I spend nx on cubes, nothing really changed".
